Sima Yi, the second son of Sima Fang, was resourceful when he was young. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Sima Yi was born in troubled times and always worried about the country and the people. Nanyang, the satrap of Yang, is famous for knowing people and being good at their duties.

In August of 25 1 year, Sima Yi died at the age of 73. His sons Sima Shi and Sima Zhao Fuzheng. In 265 AD, Sima Yan, the grandson of Sima Yi, seized the State of Wei in the Jin Dynasty and addressed Sima Yi as Xuan Di.
