Mr. Lu Xun’s reading method

There are five kinds of Lu Xun’s reading methods. They are explained to you respectively. Let’s take a look together.

1. Browsing This is a reading method used for most books outside of majors. As Lu Xun said, "If you have a book at hand, no matter what it is, you must always read it, or read it." Read the preface once, or read a few pages." "It's like going to a park, just go there casually."

2. Extensive reading Extensive reading means reading a lot of books. As Lu Xun said, "You must be like a bee, picking many flowers before you can make honey. If you bite them in one place, you will get a lot of honey." It’s limited and boring.” Lu Xun's profound knowledge comes from his extensive reading. He advocated not only reading books in class, but also reading extracurricular books; not only reading books in his major, but also reading books outside the major; not just reading books from the same family. Books, but to learn from the strengths of others.

3. Skimming Skimming is a method of skipping over and reading when you encounter difficult questions. As Lu Xun said, "If you encounter a question and only look at that place, you will not understand it no matter how long it takes. . So jump over and move forward, so you can even understand the previous place."

4. Thinking about the ancient saying "Learning without thinking means nothing" illustrates the harm of reading without paying attention to thinking. As Lu Xun said, "If you only read books, they will become a bookcase. Even if you find it interesting, you will lose sight of it." That taste is actually gradually hardening and dying." Lu Xun read and studied, and sometimes even stayed up all night in order to figure out a problem. Never be careless and content with a half-knowledge, but often ponder, deliberate, and repeatedly compare and contrast.

5. Marking Reading Marking is to mark the key points when reading. This is the traditional reading method in my country. Zhou Jianren once mentioned in his article recalling Lu Xun that when Lu Xun was reading, he "sometimes made marks on the book, added eyebrows, sometimes added a note, and sometimes recorded some valuable materials so that they could be used at any time."
