In the first two lines of the poem, the poet laments that in the past ten years, people and affairs have changed many times, and his mood has changed greatly. All the dreams and ideas he had in the past have been slowly worn away by time until they are forgotten, and he lives in seclusion. My thoughts have been in vain. The third and fourth sentences describe what happened after the poet came to Songshan. He originally wanted to meet up with old friends and reminisce about old friendships, but unfortunately, the few close friends he had had some misfortune and they would not see each other again. Looking at the thirty-six peaks of Songshan Mountain standing in front of him, the poet couldn't help but sigh: The green mountains remain the same, and old friends are hard to find. Only because of this did he cherish his friendship with the Yangshan people.
The five and six sentences indicate the specific time and place of farewell. In February in Kaifeng, the grass grows and orioles fly, and the bursts of spring are unforgettable. The scenery of spring makes people happy, but it also makes people sad, because the poet is about to say goodbye to his friends here and now. The wandering oriole that originally heralded spring is now extremely sad. The spring scenery at this time is more charming and arousing, and the so-called "writing sadness with happy scenery" makes me feel even sadder. When the poet faced his old friend who was about to return to Songyang and faced the sad scenery, he couldn't bear the feeling of parting and couldn't help but burst into tears.
The seventh and eighth sentences use the legendary allusion of "Song of Attacking the Soil". This legend was originally a tribute to Yao's rule of peace and prosperity for the people. This poem uses "digging wells and plowing fields" and "forgetting the emperor's power" to express his secluded life. The phrase "I don't want to do anything" in the poem reflects the poet's admiration for the people of Yangshan who live a peaceful and seclusion life that is aloof from the world.
The last two sentences describe separation. When a close friend leaves, the road ahead will be long, and the sadness of separation will always come to mind. The poet wishes his friend a smooth journey ahead and expresses the feeling of remembering each other after farewell.
This poem describes the reminiscence between the author and his friends. The poet touches the scenery and expresses his inner feelings. The poem is written gracefully, smoothly and deeply.
