Guiding Strategies for Senior High School Students' Writing Practice

For many students, if they want to get good grades, they must first "calm down" and "sit well". Practicing calligraphy is the easiest activity to start and relatively easy to stick to. Beautiful handwriting can not only leave a good impression on the marking teacher in the exam, but also exercise your patience and will, cultivate a kind of "quietness" and a kind of "meditation" in a subtle way.

High school students don't practice calligraphy to become calligraphers, and the intensity of practice doesn't need to be great, and it doesn't need to be very professional, but in order to obtain better practice effect, we should pay attention to methods and strategies. By consulting the calligraphy teacher, the author has formulated the following strategies for practicing calligraphy:

Black gel pen is required to answer questions in the college entrance examination, so we use black gel pen in our daily practice, and the refill is preferably 0.5 thick.

The gesture of holding a pen is very important, but it is controversial in major calligraphy forums. One group firmly believes that standard posture must be adopted, while the other group thinks that posture is not as important as imagined and it is best to correct it. If it is not correct, you can use your comfortable posture.

I'm not a calligraphy major, so I dare not express too many opinions about it, but personally, I agree with the second school. Because in many news reports, people with hand disabilities can write beautiful fonts, whether with a pen in their mouth or with their hands on their feet. However, calligraphy, as an art, has its significance and value. If conditions permit and there is enough time, it is best to correct the wrong pen holding posture.

The correct pen holding posture is as follows:

Choose regular script copybook, never use running script.

Many high school students think that stroke by stroke is the characteristic of primary school students. If you want to write fast and have a good font, you must practice running script. This view is wrong. The handwriting is ugly, probably because there is something wrong with the shelf structure. If you can't adjust the font properly, practicing running script as soon as you get started is equivalent to running in a hurry without learning to walk. If you can't lay a good foundation, you will never practice beautiful fonts. Therefore, if you want to choose pleasing regular script copybooks of well-known calligraphers, it is best to have radical or font classification training, and simple poetry copybooks are not recommended. In addition, many teachers in the calligraphy forum suggested, "Don't buy Pang Zhonghua's copybook". As for the reason, as a layman, I can't deeply understand it, but since many people say so, you'd better accept it.

Painting red is labor-saving and easy, but it has limited effect on improving your writing ability. It is suggested to practice calligraphy with square or Mi Zige paper. When practicing, carefully observe the font structure and stroke position, and then write in the grid at one go. Every time you finish writing a word, you should compare it with the original post, make clear the difference and then rewrite it in order to correct the deviation. It can be seen that the main point of the post is observation, and the key is correction. To reflect the value of "pro", we must never equate calligraphy practice with copying a painting.

When we are practicing calligraphy, if a whole line is writing the same word, we may feel that we don't know the word in the end, and the worse we write. In order to avoid this phenomenon, it is suggested to practice writing in groups, one word is practiced three times first, then the second word is practiced one line, then the third line, the fourth line, and so on. Write the last line, go back to the first line, write the first word three times, and then write the next line until the whole page is full. In this way, each line is practicing the same word, and the training amount of a single word is sufficient, thus avoiding the aesthetic fatigue caused by repetition.

You should keep practicing calligraphy. As long as you practice hard for three or four days a week, from grade one to grade three, you will be able to write words with clear handwriting, moderate size and reasonable structure. In high school, if the words are not ugly, you won't lose points, and if the words look good, you will definitely get extra points, so we should attach great importance to them.

Finally, once again, the calligraphy I'm talking about here is purely amateur calligraphy, just to wash my face when I take the college entrance examination. The strategies and methods put forward are also explored by myself, and there must be some unscientific places. Welcome friends with professional background to criticize and correct me.
