Li Shoucheng's Social Review

Nangong Monument is a bright pearl in calligraphy. When it comes to Nangong Monument, contemporary book researchers all look to Han Dan, a famous contemporary calligrapher, and Mr. Li Shoucheng, a leading figure in southern Hebei.

The calligraphy of Nangong Monument, which is both internal and external, has long been a school of its own, and the Nangong Monument has formed a "new Nangong Monument" with both the basic characteristics of Zhang style and self-charm, so that "Nangong Monument Fever" was formed in Handan in the 1980s. In the late 1990s, Li Shoucheng Calligraphy Exhibition set off a calligraphy frenzy in Handan, with more than 10,000 visitors in more than ten days.

Li Shoucheng, whose name is Shan, 1924, is from daming county. He is currently a member of China Calligraphers Association, a member of China Old People's Calligraphy and Painting Association, and the chairman of Handan Old People's Calligraphy and Painting Association.

His father, Mr. Li Heting (whose real name is Song Nian, whose name is He Ting, and he is famous for his calligraphy), is a well-known calligrapher, landscape painter and seal engraver in southern Hebei. He is proficient in calligraphy and painting, and he is also good at poetry. Before liberation, he was printed with calligraphy and painting, and the world often lamented that he lived in a remote place and could not compete with the literati in Beijing and Shanghai. In his early years, Mr. He Ting worshipped Zhang Yuzhao, a calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty, as a teacher and passed on as a disciple. He studied under Mr. Wang Hongjun, a master who is good at writing Nangong Monument (Zhang Yuzhao style). Up to now, Mr. Ting He's autographs Congtai and Couple North and South, Brother and Sister Touch Chin still remain in Congtai, Guzhao.

Mr. Shoucheng studied calligraphy with his father Li Heting, and was good at all kinds of calligraphy styles, especially Nangong Monument. He fell in love with Zhang Yuzhao's calligraphy style, and his works were vigorous and elegant. For decades, Mr. Wang devoted himself to studying, never stopped studying the past, learned to be an excellent scholar, melted inscriptions in one furnace, and was vigorous and elegant, creating a book style that not only lost the characteristics of Nangong Monument, but also showed its elegant and free-spirited spirit. It pushes the Nangong Monument to a new stage and is unique in contemporary book circles.

Especially after the age of 50, the works are inseparable, yin and yang are harmonious, the spirit is super strong, and the seasons are smooth, reaching the realm of perfection, giving people a sense of beauty with endless sources and longer taste. His book style not only attracted the attention of the book world, but also was loved by the masses, which made him famous. The Nangong Monument in Li Shoucheng is in the ascendant. Mr. Chen Liang wrote that his students "have the strength of the army".

From the famous Yellow River and Forest of Steles to the world-famous places of interest in Handan, such as Huangliangmeng, Congtai and Pedestrian Bridge, there are inscriptions written by Li Lao and Dan himself. Especially in the restoration of historical sites in our city, he devoted a lot of effort. In order to avoid lettering distortion, he often writes his words directly on stone tablets, and some of them are done under the simple conditions that his fingers can't bend and stretch in cold winter.
