Chinese painting builds momentum with lines, and pen and ink symbols are the combination of lines. These seemingly impromptu, casual and accidental "interest in ink painting" are characterized by simple painting style and meticulous brushwork, focusing on depicting the charm and implication of objects, rich associations, full interest and outstanding personality, but the breath, charm and skill contained in them, as well as the artist's personal cultural background and accomplishment hidden behind the screen, are all reflected in the whole and details. In fact, the highest realm of China's traditional pen and ink art is spirit likeness, while China painters present a profound "pen and ink life" in terms of techniques.
Mo Long's freehand brushwork of flowers and birds is natural and vivid. In his paintings, he emphasized the integration of water and color, the combination of color and ink, elegant and profound, and what he saw was the change of mind. In the thick ink layout, he marked the key points with a dry pen, with few marks, just like a natural taste, showing the charm of "green vine and white sun". Mr. Mo Long's works are heavy, steady, ethereal, clear and clean, and easy to use. No matter whether the pen is wet or dry, the dots, lines and surfaces are full of changes, too natural, dry and wet are clear, and the combination of rigidity and softness shows the superb and exquisite essence of pen and ink in bright and beautiful colors. Works such as Quiet Lotus Pond, Autumn Rhyme, Iron Bone Makes Spring, and Purple Gas are all well thought out and hearty.
The most attractive thing about Mr. Mo Long's freehand brushwork of flowers and birds is his "chicken picture". When I say "a flock of chickens", I mean that he expressed the interests of various chickens in different backgrounds in a very rich and poetic way. Through long-term and in-depth observation of the earliest domesticated domestic chicken in daily life, Mr. Mo Long painted the most common and popular domestic chicken so noble and elegant, completely melting into a blade of grass and turning a situation into artistic charm. The rooster in Dawn sings the world white; The white chicken in The First Snow nestles peacefully in the snow; The chickens in "Banyan Tree" are free among the red fruits of the old tree; The rooster and hen in "lucky strike" are lively and vivid against the backdrop of spring.
I like the three chickens in autumn rhyme best. They are so vivid in such a passionate Qiu Guang, with crisp birds singing in their ears and fragrant flowers under their noses like poems. The most interesting thing is "One Night Breeze", where lotus leaves are scattered, the lotus is bright and vivid, the lotus root is flexible, and the lotus rhyme is affectionate.
"The ink is really fragrant, and it is naturally true." The charm of Mr. Mo Long's freehand flower-and-bird painting lies in its true ink, rhyme and interest, and he is the inheritor of China literati's freehand brushwork classics. If over time, a more unique and pure style is gradually formed, Mr. Mo Long's "pen and ink life" will surely last forever and spread to the world.

Saying Mo Longwen/Arqie
I met Meron. I saw the work first, and then I saw the people. Look at his works, ink and wash are vivid, with profound skill and deep impression. When I saw him in person, I felt no stranger. Now that we have become bosom friends, we hit it off at once. Sure enough, his temperament is like the pen and ink in his paintings! I like people with this personality, who are outspoken and don't hide or procrastinate. Open-minded, easy to make friends, brainless. Get together with friends, talk about wine and art, talk about Kan Kan, and laugh heartily, just like laughing in heaven!
Mo Long, whose real name is Shen Jianguo, graduated from Yiyuan Art School founded by the famous painter Zhang Yiqian on 1964. Meron and I are contemporaries. Although the experience is different, the fate is similar, and the road to art is very bumpy. It should be said that relying on the loyalty and diligence to art, struggling in an unconditional objective environment, full of twists and turns, and supported by the optimistic and philosophical spirit in his bones, he gradually approached the palace of art. Therefore, at the age of 60, his childish laughter showed a little bitterness and bitterness. His talent and diligence enabled him to finally achieve positive results.
Mo Long mainly focuses on flowers and birds, as well as people and animals. His paintings are full of pen and ink, natural and unrestrained, and the things described are natural and vivid, with orderly layout and wonderful ideas. Mo Long is especially famous for painting chickens, with both form and spirit, and everyone loves him. The wonderful use of pen and ink temperament and light and dark wet and dry lies in the chicken body and tail, and the subtlety of detailed description and vivid expression lies in the chicken head and chicken feet. There are many painters who draw chickens now. Some of them look like "everyone". They don't observe life deeply, put on airs, exaggerate and deform excessively, almost all of them are symbolic ears, reflecting the actual emptiness. It is better for calligraphers to write the word "chicken". Mo Long painted chickens, whether one or two, pay attention to describe their expressions. Painting cocks has a proud but not kitsch attitude, and painting hens has a peaceful and auspicious state.
It is not easy to match the scenery of flower-and-bird painting, which is impossible. The scenery of Mo Long's flower-and-bird paintings is mostly branches and vines, which are interspersed vertically and horizontally, concise and appropriate, and the density is appropriate. The objective objects depicted, such as leafless wisteria, persimmon, loquat, etc., also dare to make bold choices, so their language is bright, the theme is prominent, the colors are coordinated, and the guests and the guests are suitable. The brushwork is like sweeping a thousand troops, dripping freely, attacking in the middle, withdrawing from the disease and turning, and being flexible in the virtual.
Looking closely at Mo Long's paintings, we can see some rough places, but we can't see any traces of arrangement, just like a lady, who doesn't pretend or dress up deliberately, but embodies beauty in simplicity. This is also the reason why each of his works is readable. Exquisite paintings and strong colors are far from his style. His writing is decisive and steady, and he has answers. It is like a combination of official script and cursive script. The majestic axe shape and the smooth contrast between the centers reflect the skills emphasized in Chinese painting. It can't be done overnight. Limited to space, I won't comment on them one by one.
Mo Long's sincere pen and sincere feelings have been recognized by his colleagues, and the law of life is probably similar. A large part of it is to imitate others and later find yourself. There must be some truth in the words of saints. Why are you still called "obedient" at the age of 60? In fact, the root of the ear is in the heart, and the heart is not smooth. What can you hear? People have experienced a lot, and they don't look at the problem one-sidedly, and they don't just think from one angle, so it's easy to follow, just like children, obedient and obedient. There are similarities between the two ends of life, and it is also great to engage in art. With his understanding of life and his pen and ink temperament, Mei Long will surely become a great musical instrument.
