Maposheng’s Characters 2

Ma Bosheng, male, born in December 1942, is from Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Associate professor at the School of Art, Shenzhen University. When he was young, he studied painting and engaged Mr. Guo Gongda. He majored in the military in 1970. In 1980, he was transferred from Jiangsu Xuzhou Normal School to the Xuzhou Traditional Chinese Painting Academy. In 1985, he entered the Lu Chen Studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts for training. It ended in 1987, and he was admitted to the National Art Museum of China in the same year. Later, he was accepted as a disciple by the master of Chinese painting Mr. Li Keran. In the 1980s, his works won the first prize twice in national calligraphy and painting competitions and were featured in newspapers and magazines at home and abroad. He was invited to paint the giant Chinese paintings "Nine Eagles Garden" and "Lights in the Zaoyuan Garden" for the Great Hall of the People and Tiananmen Square in Beijing, and was awarded a national honorary certificate. In 1990, China Pictorial Publishing House published "Bo Sheng's Painting Collection". In 1992, he lived in Shenzhen. Appointed as art consultant of Shenzhen International Exhibition Center. In 1994, he founded the magazine "Chinese Painting Circle" and is currently the editor-in-chief of the magazine. Member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association, Guangdong member of the Chinese Artists Association, associate professor of the Art Department of Shenzhen University Normal College.
