Cao Hongxun is good at painting Cynthia in the calligraphy room, learning European style, and working honestly in Han Li. His calligraphy is swift, natural and unrestrained, graceful and patchy. He travels thousands of miles every day, with perils and flying strokes, sometimes appearing in Lian Bi, which embodies the typical style of his calligraphy. Cao painted bamboo, spears and stones. His bamboo paintings are full of vitality, boldness, modesty and stubbornness. His books and paintings are precious and exquisite, and the essence is wonderful. His ink is found in the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Donghuamen, Xihuamen and Dashilan. In my hometown, there are stone carvings such as the rebuilt Yuqing Palace Monument (commonly known as the Four Faces Monument) and Wanyuan Garden. Wang Yi is his disciple.
In Changle county, a word was raised and carved on a stone tablet. This monument was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and was expanded by Liu Zeng.
