I won the second prize in calligraphy composition

On the morning of December 29, 2007, I had an unexpected surprise. This surprise surprised even me. Let me tell you how this surprise came.

This year is the day before New Year's Day. There are only two classes in the morning. The rest of the time the whole school will have meetings, and each class will have a party in the afternoon. My surprise came at the conference. It turns out that the meeting was to give out prizes to the students. I saw a few teachers holding a large pile of certificates, which was really enviable. I hate that I can't cast spells and can't have my name printed on the certificate. I saw more than 2,000 students under the rostrum, densely packed in darkness, boiling like boiling water. The list of award recipients was read one by one. The students who had read about it were elated, while the students who had not read about it were dejected and regretful. So far, there is no name for me. What does that feel like? I can’t explain clearly, but I feel very disappointed. At this moment, the teacher read my name, and I won the second prize in provincial calligraphy. After hearing this, I was immediately overjoyed and ran quickly to the rostrum to receive the certificate. At that time, I wanted to fly home immediately and tell my mother the good news so that she could share my happiness.

I won the second prize in provincial calligraphy. I am so happy. I understand a truth: As long as you try your best, you will definitely succeed. I want to thank Teacher Chu because she gave me this opportunity to participate in the competition. I would also like to thank Teacher Wang for providing me with information. I will work harder to win more certificates and greater honors.
