What are the skills of practicing hard pen calligraphy?

Hard-pen calligraphy is a relatively basic kind of calligraphy, and there are many skills to practice hard-pen calligraphy. Here are some basic skills:

1. posture: the correct sitting posture is the first condition for writing well. When writing, sit up straight, keep your back straight, keep your legs apart naturally and relax your shoulders. Keep your eyes one foot away from the paper, punch your chest off the edge of the table, hold the pen in one hand and press the paper in the other. Maintain a stretch, flexible and relaxed state as a whole.

2. Calligraphy: The core skill of practicing calligraphy is to master the method of writing. Yunbi refers to the stroke writing of a word, which is generally divided into three steps: starting, doing and receiving (commonly known as Yunbi trilogy).

3. Stroke: There are five kinds of strokes commonly used in hard pen calligraphy: horizontal, vertical, left, pressed and dotted. Among them, two strokes are the most basic ones, and the other three strokes are all evolved from these two foundations.

4. Structure: The commonly used structures of hard pen calligraphy include left-right structure, up-and-down structure, left-middle-right structure and up-and-down structure.
