Ten principles of calligraphy
As a calligrapher, you must know the ten rules of calligraphy. If you know it clearly, you must practice it.
1, don't slander others.
Don't slander others, especially in public. Maybe he really doesn't write well. Maybe you really know calligraphy and have studied it for decades. You can choose silence. You know, every industry has people who make a living from it, and you can't do anything that destroys people's jobs. If you have never used a brush at all, or have been writing for more than 10 years, you'd better keep silent, praise or not comment. It's easy to expose your ignorance. Eyes low, hands low, hands low, eyes not high.
2. Don't fight the price war.
Peer price war, the final result is lose-lose. This is a historical lesson from all walks of life. Learn to make the cake the biggest and thickest. So-called? Good words don't sell broken paintings? The price of calligraphy was pulled down by our own people.
3. Don't belittle yourself.
Arrogance is wrong, but you can't sell yourself short and belittle yourself. Everyone knows best how much he has paid for calligraphy. I want to sell my words at that price, and I know my energy and time. Maybe you don't like it or even despise it. Business, after all, I can't force you to buy what you want and you can't force me to sell it.
4. Don't attack the official.
People don't fight with officials because they can't fight with officials. Where is the official of calligraphy? In the book association. In China, the Book Association is an authoritative organization, which is inextricably linked with the government and is the spokesman of the government in the calligraphy field. In a bureaucratic society like China, the influence and authority of the Book Association far exceeds that of any non-governmental organization. There are calligraphy courses in primary and secondary schools, and those of us who like calligraphy have another way to make money. They contributed a lot. They are the ones who really know how to make the industry cake bigger and thicker.
5. Don't mislead others' children.
You know best how much you weigh. Engaged in children's calligraphy teaching, in addition to having a good knowledge of regular script, you also need to have a college degree or above, and understand education and psychology. Teaching and educating people, pedagogy psychology are two necessary subjects. Calligraphy learning should start with regular script. Regular script is rich in brushwork and practical, which is the basis of learning calligraphy well. The brushwork of seal script is relatively simple, and children face the problem of literacy. The brushwork of official script is more casual and less practical than regular script.
6. Don't reveal trade secrets.
The secrets of the industry, including the shady of some industries. The survival of every industry must be based on interests, and industry secrets are the levers to incite interests. With a wave of leverage, the benefits will flow in. It is impossible to spread trade secrets everywhere, ruin your job and break your financial path.
7. Don't give up your job easily.
A scholar dies as a bosom friend, and a woman is her lover. Calligraphy works must be given to people who know calligraphy. People who know calligraphy know their own advantages and disadvantages, and can see where they have pasted, what they have learned, and what are the inherent characteristics of lines, structure, composition and charm. When you send him works, he will only talk about your advantages when communicating with others, and all he says is professional language. If you give a work to someone who doesn't know calligraphy, he will say that your handwriting is good at best, but I can't say what's good about it.
8. The result of the competition should not be used as the only criterion to measure the level of calligraphy.
The fairest competition in the world is sports competition. Experts and laymen can see who jumps far and runs fast, but cheating happens from time to time in sports competitions, not to mention other competitions, especially the subjective calligraphy competition. The result of the competition is often the result of the organizers weighing the interests of all parties. The high level may not win the grand prize, but the low level can also be priceless. As the saying goes? Economy sets the stage, culture sings opera? . Driven by economic interests, all artistic levels are pale and powerless.
9. Don't swear.
Calligraphy is a matter for literati. Literati speak in words and write in words; Scholars learn to be teachers, teachers of behavior. We like and love calligraphy, so we must read more books, broaden our horizons, be careful what we say and do, and always maintain the image of a scholar.
10, don't take your calligraphy too seriously.
China's calligraphy has been deposited for thousands of years. There are countless people who can write and write well in history, but only a few hundred names have really been handed down. The beauty of calligraphy was brought to the extreme by the ancients. What I worked so hard to create was insignificant to the ancients, but I didn't find it myself. Treating calligraphy with an entertaining attitude may reduce the burden and enjoy it more.
