Zaozhuang 16th Middle School was founded in 1969. Formerly known as May 7th Workers and Peasants United School, it was later renamed Tabu Workers and Peasants United Middle School. 1March, 973, named Zaozhuang No.16 Middle School according to the city order. In May, 2004, the 16th Middle School in Zaozhuang merged with the 43rd Middle School in Zaozhuang, which opened a new chapter in the development of the 16th Middle School in Zaozhuang.
The school is divided into two campuses, north and south, covering an area of more than 200 mu and a construction area of more than 50,000 square meters. The school has 85 classes, 4,800 students and 345 faculty members. There are more than 60 classrooms with various functions, one 300-meter playground and one 400-meter playground, and two basketball volleyball courts 12. Experimental building, library, audio-visual building, comprehensive science and technology building, art building, canteen, student apartment and other teaching facilities are complete.
In recent years, the school has invested more than 20 million yuan in the construction of infrastructure and modern teaching equipment, and built high-standard teaching buildings, office buildings, science and technology complex buildings, student apartments, canteens and restaurants. There are various functional rooms such as books, reading, microcomputer, pronunciation, calligraphy and experiment, and the internal facilities are all configured according to the standards of provincial standardized schools. High standard hardware facilities provide a good material guarantee for education and teaching. In order to improve the level of school physical education in an all-round way, the school strives to improve the standard of hardware facilities. On the basis of reaching the provincial level, we have increased investment this year, and plan to invest 8 million yuan to build high-standard track and field and wind and rain playgrounds, which has laid a solid foundation for the further development of school physical education.
