China Anti-drug Calligraphy Exhibition

Lin Zexu:

The destruction of opium in Humen (June 1839) refers to a historical event in which the Qing government of China appointed an imperial envoy Lin Zexu to destroy opium in Humen, Guangdong. This incident later became the fuse of the First Opium War, and treaty of nanking was also signed by the Qing government in that war. 13 June, 839 (that is, April 22nd, 19th year of Daoguang reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Qing Dynasty), Lin Zexu ordered the public destruction of opium in Humentan, which lasted for 23 days until June 25th, and totally destroyed boxes of 19, 187 and 21/kloc-0. The destruction of opium in Humen has become a historic event in the anti-drug struggle. June 3, which began with the destruction of opium in Humen, was designated as a no-smoking festival during the Republic of China. June 26, the day after the end of cigarette sales, also happened to be the International Anti-Drug Day.

Left:

There is no wind, no moon and no one to see him off. One night, Zuo left Beijing. Cixi appointed him as an imperial envoy to supervise military affairs in Xinjiang. He is going to Lanzhou to prepare for conscription. This resolute, tenacious and ambitious Hunan man is "short of soldiers, money and luck" but full of confidence in the face of internal and external troubles. There is no retreat in the war to recover Xinjiang. Under the snow-capped Qilian Mountain, the hunting wind rolled up the banner and carried the coffin to the left, bravely moving forward. This is not a decisive battle in the general sense, it is a war to safeguard national dignity. The soldiers who took part in the war were in high spirits and regarded death as death. This is to fight for the unity and integrity of the motherland, so cold blood turned into boiling, and cowards turned into red-eyed angry lions. The sons and daughters of Huxiang, who are proud of Zuo, are fighting for and defending the spirit of war, which is actually reshaping the national spirit. A year later, the whole territory of Xinjiang was recovered. This is the most proud event in the history of the late Qing Dynasty, and it is also the most brilliant sunset photo in the late Qing Dynasty.

Deng Shichang:

Deng Shichang's death was so tragic: after the Zhiyuan ship sank, Deng Shichang fell into the water, and Liu Zhong threw him a lifebuoy and was pushed aside by him; The torpedo boat 1 on the left came to the rescue. He refused to get on the boat and said, "I am determined to kill the enemy and serve the country." If I die in the sea today, I can't live! " ; His pet dog, Sun Dog, swam to his side. First, he bit his arm to prevent him from sinking. He pushed the dog away, and the dog grabbed his pigtail and made his head above the water. Deng Shichang is determined to live and die with the warship * * *, and resolutely hugs his dog and sinks into the rolling waves together.
