Feng Zikai said in an essay: A complete personality is like a tripod, truth, goodness and beauty are like the tripod's three legs ..... Truth, goodness and beauty produce beauty, and beauty produces art, and every time I appreciate English bylaws, I have an impulse to appreciate art. I think only real art can touch people, and art must be true, good and beautiful, and truth, goodness and beauty must be regulated by beauty. It is true that a piece of paper is full of words incoherently. Kindness is also good, but not beautiful. Of course, it can't be called art if it's not beautiful. My kitten climbs on the piano key, and it can make all kinds of sounds, but it doesn't become music. On the painter's palette, there are also various colors, but I just can't draw them. Why? Answer: Because there is no rhythm. Rhythmic people are the key elements of art. English text calligraphy is art because it adds rhythm to truth, goodness and beauty, that is, composition and modeling, and the relationship between each book and strokes is the first. Cause and effect come down in one continuous line, writing is well-founded, and each has its own statutes and rules. The big ones are scattered, the small ones are dense, the regular ones are hard, the partial ones are down, and they should be stable and appropriate. Understand the heart and obey the hand, and there will be beauty. Every time I look at such a work, I will feel deeply about life and be fascinated. As for how calligraphy creates beauty to achieve a wonderful scene, please read this post carefully, and I don't need to go into details.
I can't remember which philosopher once said: Art puts personality first, technology second, in order to educate. What's the use of holding 1000 solo exhibition and publishing millions of books if he is arrogant instead of advocating good and abandoning evil? In the end, it's just hypocrisy, and the world hates it. Zhang Ying is not clever, but he is very cautious. I remember in his year-end comments, I summed it up in two sentences: famous but not famous, beneficial but not profitable. He is ordinary but not shallow, humble but not cowardly. In art, the rules are square, simple, meticulous and natural. Don't be crazy and flashy, be practical, concise and simple as a teacher. Seeing * * * with eyes is respected by the world.
Zhang Ying's works and personality can give people such an impression, which is closely related to his coming from a family of poetry and calligraphy, being taught by his father, Bor, competing with his younger brother, Zhang Yun, being eclectic and rich in calligraphy and painting. He started studying at the age of three and has been studying for more than forty years. This achievement was not achieved in a day, but its "bookish" spirit should be respected!
The publication of this course has been greatly assisted by Comrade Liang, director of the Office of China Painting and Calligraphy Talent Training Center. Here, I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of the author and myself.
The above humble opinions are purely based on feelings, not for order, but for generosity and shame.
