Coral with Iron Net is an ancient book of calligraphy and painting, with more than 300,000 words. There are 143 calligraphy works from Shi Guwen in the Zhou and Qin Dynasties to You Zhu Xuan in the Poems of Mo Cui Li in the Ming Dynasty. There are 97 paintings from Yan's "Fairy Pictures of Hongya" in Tang Dynasty to "Huashan Pictures" in Ming Dynasty. All the collected works are recorded directly, some of them bear the marks of the author or collector, and at the same time, a number of ancient inscriptions as precious as the original works are included. It not only contains Hongfu, but also has high credibility. It is a collection guide for later collectors.
The editor of Tiewang Coral is Zhu (1444- 15 13). Zhu Zi, a native of Changzhou (now Suzhou, Jiangsu), was an old Confucian in Wumen during the reign of Hongzhi and Zhengde in the Ming Dynasty. He loves calligraphy and painting and is good at distinguishing. He became good friends with Young-jin Lee, Wu Kuan, Shen Zhou, Zhu Yunming and Wen Zhiming. Wen Zhiming's "Epitaph of Mr. Zhu Xingfu" said that "people have wonderful books, and they need to take their length before they can decide. Or write by hand and move the basket. Group history, novels of arresting officials, geography of mountains and rivers, everything. " "Jiangnan Tongzhi" says: "At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, Wu Nanpu's He, Shi and Lushan's Chen were rich in books and stones. Following the latter, it seems that Zhu is a very famous collection and appreciation.
Why did Zhu name this book "Coral with Iron Mesh"? It is said that in the Tang Dynasty, people sank iron nets into the seabed to collect corals. Later, "iron net corals" became synonymous with collecting rare things. After Zhu's death, several versions of "iron net coral" were circulated in the world. I got what Zhao had hidden and found the incomplete book from other places. Jin Mao asked Zhou Rongqi, an old Confucian scholar in Changshu, to copy and collate it, and it took him two years to compile it into fourteen volumes. Since then, the Ji Gu Pavilion has hidden it in a secret lock and refused to show it easily.
The price of ancient books is not fixed. At that time, the price of ten gold per roll was not sold. Old and sick, I can't afford to buy medicinal bait such as ginseng, so I have to send the "iron net coral" as 24 taels of silver to the pawnshop. Finally failed to redeem, and finally let it spread all over the world. Later, this book was collected by famous artists and was collected by Zhou Shutao in the early years of the Republic of China.
