Gao Zhi, pen name Gao Zhi. Literary translator and writer. A native of Hefei, Anhui. Graduated from the Sociology Department of Central University in 1932. He once served as editor of Zhongshan Cultural Education Center and professor of Jinling University. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he successively served as a professor at Shandong Normal University and an editor at Beijing Times Publishing House. The translation includes "Resurrection" and "Anna Karenina" by (Russian) Leo Tolstoy, and the joint translation of (Russian) Leo Tolstoy's "Resurrection" and "Anna Karenina", Co-translated (Russian) Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace", and authored a collection of essays, "A Thousand Character Essay", etc.

Xu Wenhui (1491-1570), courtesy name Chaozhang, No. Longtan, was born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province. The grandson of Shangshu Xu Pu, Yiyin entered the Imperial Academy, and later moved to the supervisory post of Zuo Cheng, the supervisor of Shanglinyuan. When the gardens and lacquer forests entered, the nobles seized them according to their situation, and Wen Hui governed them according to the law. He was promoted to the governor of the Hou Army and served as the left chief historian of the Min Prefecture. He died in the fourth year of Longqing (1570) at the age of eighty.
