Basic information of Qian Juntao

Qian Juntao (1907- 1998) was born in Tongxiang, Zhejiang. Famous calligrapher, painter, seal engraver and bookbinder.

He used to be vice president of Xiling Printing Society, librarian of Shanghai Literature and History Research Institute, member of China Artists Association and executive director of Shanghai Branch, member of China Calligraphers Association and honorary director of Shanghai Branch, member of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth sessions of Shanghai CPPCC, and president of Tao Jun Painting Academy. Qian Juntao's paintings are concise, vigorous and old-fashioned, with lofty artistic conception; Calligraphy seal, official script, cursive script and regular script are all works, especially the unique circle of ancient and clever official script; Seal cutting was carried out in Qin and Han Dynasties. After Zhao, Wu Changshuo and He, it found a new way, and it was unique. It is white and black, and it is set aside freely.
