Where is the poet Du Fu buried?

Du Fu Cemetery is located in West Mangling, Kangdian Village, Kangdian Town, 5 kilometers northwest of gongyi city City. 1990, the municipal government invested more than 700,000 yuan to renovate the cemetery. The cemetery covers an area of 34 mu, facing south. The main building consists of the gatehouse, the statue of Du Fu, the double-decker pavilion, the poet's forest of steles, Du Fu's tomb, the poetry pavilion, the hometown pavilion, the grass pavilion and the memorial hall. More than 3,000 flowers and trees are planted in the whole cemetery, among which exotic flowers and herbs are dotted. Trees are shaded, pine and cypress are reflected, majestic and solemn, and various facilities have the style of garden architecture, becoming a bright pearl on Mangling.

Du Fu died in the fifth year of Tang Daizong Dali (AD 770) on a boat on Xiangjiang River near Dongting Lake in Pingjiang County, Hunan Province, at the age of 58. At that time, the family was too poor to be buried, and was temporarily buried in Odamura, south of Qianjiang County, Hunan Province15km. Forty-three years later, in the eighth year of Yuanhe (AD 8 13), his grandson Du Fu was entrusted by his ancestors to bury Du Fu's coffin in Mangshanling, his hometown in Kangdian, gongyi city, and his son and Zongwu were buried next to the tomb, which was called "three sages" by the local people. As early as the Song Dynasty, there were fences around the cemetery, and pine and cypress were planted in the four gates and gardens. Scholars and working people of past dynasties came to pay their respects, and the cemetery was destroyed after the Ming Dynasty. The most striking thing in the cemetery is the large granite Du Fuxiang, which is 4.7 meters high. Its carving is exquisite, its lines are smooth, its technique is realistic, its mind is heavy and its image is vivid. This masterpiece was carefully directed by the world famous artist Mr. Liu Kaiqu and the late famous artist Mr. Liu Yi, and created by the famous sculptor Mr. Cui Kaihong. The base is 3 meters high and made of black marble. The front of the base was inscribed by Mr. Liu Kaiqu. The form of the chair is surrounded by flower beds, with an inner circle and an outer circle, which is consistent with China's ancient theory that the sky is round and the place is round. Moral: The poet saint is a giant who will always stand on the land of the motherland, and his reputation will be with the world. There is a long corridor with a length of 120 meters and a width of 2.5 meters in the cemetery, commonly known as the "100-meter Corridor", also known as the "Poetry Forest", which was inscribed by Mr. Qi Gong, Chairman of China Calligraphers Association. There are more than 100 stone tablets in the gallery, most of which are Du Fu's poems. He is a famous painter and calligrapher at home and abroad, and his calligraphy has its own characteristics in ancient and modern times, such as Zhen, Cao, Li and Zhuan. His calligraphy is exquisite in art, rigorous in structure, bold and profound, cool and vivid, free and easy, colorful and interesting, floating like a cloud, smart and breathtaking. For thousands of years, scholars, writers, experts and scholars came to pay tribute to the poet with reverence. They all left inscriptions and wrote countless hymns. Poet Du Fu, rest in peace here.
