Li Bai was born in Qinglianchang, Changlong County, Mianzhou (now Jiangyou, Sichuan, but some people say that he was born in Broken Leaf City in Central Asia, now tokmak, Kyrgyzstan). He left Shu at the age of 25 and spent his boyhood in Shu.
The original "Taibai Hometown" monument at Changnan Ferry has been moved to the temple.
