Were there any famous female painters in ancient China?

I'm afraid that only Zhao Mengfu's wife went up in the pipeline, and the others were just prostitutes who played with ink.

Guan Daosheng (1262~ 13 19), a native of Maoshan Village, Deqing County, was a famous female calligrapher, painter and poet in Yuan Dynasty.

Guan Daosheng was smart since childhood and was good at poetry and painting. He married Zhao Mengfu and conferred the title of Lady Wei.

Yuan Yanchang died on May 10th, 2006 and was buried in James (now Dongheng Village, Luoshe Township).

He is good at drawing ink bamboo with clear brushwork.

He also created landscapes, Buddha statues, poems and calligraphy.

He is the author of Chronology of Zhu Mo (1).

Handed down from ancient times, the works include the Water Bamboo Scroll, Autumn Deep Post, Embroidered Buddha Map on the Mountain Building, Changming Temple Map and so on.

Zhao Mengfu, also known as Song Xue, is quite accomplished in painting and calligraphy. Zhao Mengfu, an official living in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, is a senior cultural official.

Yuan Renzong tried to put the calligraphy of Zhao Mengfu, Guan Daosheng and Zhao Yong into a scroll, which was supervised by the collection secretary. He said, "It is also a miracle to let future generations know that a couple and their father are good at calligraphy."

Guan Daosheng has a famous "I Nong Ci". It is said that Zhao Mengfu was deeply moved after reading My Nong Ci, and never mentioned concubinage again.

The full text of "I Nong Ci" is as follows: "You Nong Nong, you are very affectionate; A lot of feelings, hot as fire; Twist a piece of mud to make you and me.

Break the two of us together and mix them with water; Twist the other you and shape the other me.

You are in the mud, and I am in the mud: I am born with you (Qin, read twice) and die with you (Guo, read three times). "

The story of Qiu Shentie:

One day, Zhao Mengfu and his wife Guan Daosheng climbed the rockery in the yard and enjoyed the beautiful autumn scenery in the pavilion. Suddenly, a letter came from the housekeeper. The lady took a look. It turned out to be her family's. After reading it, she smiled at her husband: "I haven't been home for a long time, and my family is very worried." My aunt hopes that we can go home and have a look! " Zhao Mengfu shook his head helplessly: "I don't want to go back to my hometown to enjoy my family's happiness, but now I'm in officialdom, and I can't help it!" The wife certainly knows her husband's aspirations and thoughts, and Zhao Mengfu is considerate of her homesickness.

So they discussed sending preserved fruits and snacks to their families. Zhao Mengfu knew that his wife's family believed in Buddhism, so he specially prepared 100 incense sticks as a gift for his wife and aunt. After everything was ready, the husband and wife were in high spirits, ordering people to show paper and grind ink and reply to the letter from home.

Although it's just a letter from home to greet my aunt and give her a gift, we can see that this letter from home is done in one go.

This is the famous national treasure book post "Autumn Deep Post" that has been handed down to this day and now we see it.

Autumn Deep Post is 26.9 cm long and 53.3 cm wide, with 18 lines * * *. The whole post is a running script, with solid brushwork, slender figure, beautiful, smooth and vigorous.

This letter from home was written in the tone of Zhao Mengfu's wife Guan Daosheng: "Before Daosheng knelt down to restore her makeup for her aunt, Daosheng didn't say a word for a long time, and I couldn't help thinking about it. Autumn is getting colder and colder, so Ji went to pay his respects. At that time, the season gradually entered late autumn, and letters expressed his thoughts for his elders.

The letter also told my aunt about relatives at home. "Mrs. Jin Zuntang and your nephew Master Ji met here again. I think my aunt knows."
