From Wubao Sigou Village to Revolution
Liu Qing’s original name was Liu Yunhua. He was born in Wubao, which is located at the junction of Suide, Jiaxian and Wubao counties in northern Shaanxi. Sigou Village. Like many rural areas in northern Shaanxi, the village is surrounded by mountains. The vertical and horizontal ravines are T-shaped, dividing a large village into irregular blocks. A relatively flat asphalt road passes through the village. On a stone tablet standing on the roadside, there are four eye-catching red Daewoo "Liu Qing's Former Residence" engraved on it. The writing is powerful and powerful, written by He Jingzhi, another famous contemporary writer.
Slowly walking up an earthy slope, a blue brick gate with exquisite workmanship towers into view. Every piece of wood is carved with vivid peonies that symbolize longevity, good fortune, and good fortune, and every brick reveals a heavy sense of vicissitudes of life. On both sides of the simple and beautiful carved stone gate is engraved a frame of couplets with a majestic and smooth writing style: "If you cultivate virtue in your heart, your heart will always be peaceful, and you will live in a blessed place with abundant blessings." It is not only a masterpiece of calligraphy, but also records the owner's profound cultural accumulation. The words are the voice of the heart, and the couplets also express the attitude of Liu Qing's ancestors towards life and their simple feelings of gratitude to nature. It was in this courtyard that Liu Qing was born and spent his childhood; it was also from here that he gradually embarked on the road of revolution and success in literary career.
My hometown gave him inspiration for creation. During the difficult days of the Anti-Japanese War, he spent three years working as a township clerk in Mizhi County, northern Shaanxi. The accumulation of rich life enabled him to publish the novel "Grain Planting" in 1947. In the novel, he pursues local characteristics and expresses life in the spoken language of the masses, which is refreshing. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he was ordered by the organization to work in the Northeast. However, as a writer who grew up in the northwest, worked there for a long time and established flesh-and-blood ties with the people, Liu Qing felt "hard to leave" and resolutely applied to the organization to return to his hometown. Work in northern Shaanxi. After returning to northern Shaanxi, he immediately devoted himself to the area he was familiar with, interviewing and recording vivid materials about people in the old areas supporting the war. In this way, in the early spring of 1951, he completed the novel "The Iron Wall" with the Shajiadian Battle as the background and focusing on migrant workers supporting the front line.
Achieved "History of Entrepreneurship" in Huangfu Village, Chang'an
Liu Qing was engaged in revolutionary activities in his early years. He began his literary career during the Anti-Japanese War. In 1952, he served as deputy secretary of the County Party Committee of Chang'an County, Shaanxi Province. And settled in Huangfu Village, Chang'an County for 14 years. During the "Cultural Revolution", he was brutally persecuted by the "Gang of Four" and was forced to stop working. Died due to illness on June 13, 1978.
Liu Qing has lived in Huangfu Village for 14 years and knows all kinds of characters in the countryside well, which provides him with extremely favorable conditions for shaping the characters in literary works. The work that makes Liu Qing occupy an important position in modern Chinese literature is undoubtedly the novel "History of Entrepreneurship". In "History of Entrepreneurship", he successfully created a number of vivid artistic images such as Liang Shengbao, Liang Sanlaohan, Guo Shifu, Guo Shijie, Guo Zhenshan, etc. "History of Entrepreneurship" takes the development history of Liang Shengbao's mutual aid group as a clue, and through the description of the sharp and complex struggles between various classes and people from all walks of life in Toad Ford, it profoundly expresses the rural class relations and people from all walks of life in the socialist transformation movement of agriculture in my country. The new changes, new arrangements, and new combinations of relationships with people fully demonstrate the historical features of my country's agricultural co-operation and the great changes in the spiritual world of the peasant masses, especially
their treatment of the legacy left over thousands of years The position and emotional leap taken by private ownership. It can also be said that the development history of agricultural cooperatives is actually a history of the minds of entrepreneurs. This is why this novel has eternal vitality. "History of Entrepreneurship" has a grand structure, majestic momentum, and simple and dignified language, which fully demonstrates Liu Qing's powerful and vigorous artistic style. It is one of the most outstanding achievements of socialist creation in New China and a masterpiece in the history of modern Chinese literature. It has been translated into English, Japanese, German, Spanish and other languages, and is well-known in the international literary world.
Eternal memory
With reverence, we stand in front of Liu Qing’s tomb to mourn this immortal literary master. We are grateful for his innocent heart towards the party and the people. . He once donated all the royalties of more than 16,000 yuan from the first volume of "History of Entrepreneurship" he had just received to his Wangqu Commune as industrial infrastructure expenses. He said: "I have a salary and don't need the money. Let it be used to do something useful for the members." How many people can do this today?
Liu Qing stayed true to his duty as a writer throughout his life, concentrating on studying life and engaging in creation.
He said: "Literature is a fool's career. Only those who are willing to devote their lives to literature can do this." He is such a person. There are 365 days a year, except in May when the wheat is blooming and he has to go out for shelter (he suffers from severe chronic asthma). Except for notifying him of meetings that he must attend, he spends most of his time living in Huangfu Village and running the business for which he dedicated his life. cause. He always emphasized that as a party member writer and a people's writer, he must adhere to noble moral sentiments. He said that a writer needs to observe and express the complex social life, but he must "maintain the purity of his soul throughout his life" and be different from those who are opportunistic and chasing after others. Draw a clear line between those who pursue fame and wealth, so that it is possible to write truly beautiful works.
Currently, Wubao County has renovated Liu Qing’s former residence; the Chang’an District Committee, the district government and people who love Liu Qing have funded the construction of Liu Qing Square, Liu Qing Tomb, and Liu Qing Memorial Hall in memory of Liu Qing. Statues, Liuqing Literature Museum, etc., and actively organizes various cultural activities. Now, the asphalt road has been built to Huangfu Village, and the villagers are doing various small businesses on the roadside of the village, with smiles on their faces and stories about Liu Qing. I wonder what Liu Qing would think if he could see the lives of the descendants of the Xiang Party in Huangfu Village? I think this may be the happy life he once imagined.
