How did the ancients carve tablets?
In ancient times, calligraphy was used to write words to be engraved on stones. It is said that the calligrapher Shu Dan wrote the words first, and then the stonemason carved the stone. Writing is done by the writer first, and then by the calligrapher. Finally, the stonemason pulls the stone, and Shu Dan writes directly on the stone tablet with cinnabar. The stonemason makes the inscription exactly the same as the calligrapher's handwriting according to superb craftsmanship.
