When it rains, everything shines;

"When it rains" means when it rains. Cai Tingkai and Jiang Guangnai stationed in Shanghai led the 19 Route Army. After the Sino-Japanese War began, the 87th and 88th Divisions of the Fifth Army led by Zhang Zhizhong were reinforced, and Shanghai workers and people from all walks of life joined hands in the war of resistance. In this anti-Japanese war, the heroic struggle lasted for more than a month, which dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese army, killing more than 10 thousand people and changing commanders four times. "Big cloud" means dark cloud. This means that the Kuomintang government has compromised with the capitulators and the Japanese aggressors. The heroic struggle of the soldiers and civilians in Shanghai achieved brilliant results, but the Kuomintang government signed the "Songhu Armistice Agreement" with Japan on May 5. It is stipulated that Shanghai is a demilitarized zone, and China is not allowed to station troops from Shanghai to Suzhou and Kunshan, but the Japanese can station troops in Shanghai. Although this couplet is a gift for a friend, it is unusual; It expresses the author's mixed feelings after the "1.28" incident, which has a strong popularity. Since the Ming Dynasty, Wudang Mountain, as a royal temple, has often been ordered by the emperor to set up altars and shrines in major palaces to worship the gods, so as to ensure the emperor's good weather and eternal prosperity. Taoism believes that things that human beings can't do, such as praying for blessings to avoid disasters, asking immortals to prolong their lives, and crossing over to death, can be achieved through this ritual called "ritual" and seeking the power of God. According to records, the "Golden Seal Festival" held in Wudang Mountain for the emperor lasted for 49 days, and the emperor ordered thousands of ministers, Wudang Mountain wizards, high arches, Confucian classics and other people to participate.
Third, "Why should the pure land be swept, and the empty door need not be closed?"

This couplet is: the door couplet of Yongquan Temple in Gushan.
"Pure Land" and "Empty Door" are puns. "Pure land" refers to the "pure land" of Buddhism. It's clean and spotless. Why should it be cleaned? "An empty door" is Buddhism, and everything is empty. If you go to Tathagata, there is no cover. What is this going to do?
There is another geographical reason for this couplet. The mountain gate is built at the mouth of the hillside, and in front of it is a passage, with bluestone red walls. The mountain wind rushed in and blew away the fallen leaves and idle grass, saving people the power to clean. So "why sweep the ground"; In summer and autumn, typhoons frequently occur and the mountain gate is blown down many times. Later, there was no door at all, so there was no need to close the empty door.
This couplet is also a Tibetan couplet, which contains the words "net" and "empty" respectively to commemorate the abbot of Gushan Yongquan Temple118th generation. Similarly, there is a couplet, a clear Tibetan bone tower, "scratching your heart;" Out of the world. "There is also a couplet on the gap between the years of Tongzhi Gui You, which reads' Don't cross the ancient and modern four strange people in Cihang, and board the other shore together; "Tang Ruda smelted ten thousand people into buddhas and went to Le Bang." After nine years of Tongzhi, the inscription "I feel empty" is still in the temple.

This couplet is the title of the old temple, preaching the boundless Buddhism and persuading people to turn evil into good. The main idea of the first part: knowing that there is no place to live is the dharma. However, under the Buddha's light, Buddhist temples are everywhere. "No living", Buddhism believes that all kinds of behaviors are impermanent, that is, moving and empty, and so is human understanding, that is, there is no going. Everything is in the process of birth and death, and so is Buddhism. The "land of ten squares" is called east, west, south, north, southeast, northwest, northeast, southwest and up and down in Buddhist scriptures, that is, the whole world. In ancient India, it was necessary to build an exquisite house in the garden of Prince Youtuo who wanted to buy it. Youtuo joked that "cloth and gold are sold everywhere". Sudan dumped gold and cloth. Youtuo felt very sincere, and the two worked together to build a fine house. Please come and live here. This refers generally to Buddhist temples. Buddha and Bodhisattva rescued all sentient beings from suffering. If you really want to turn over a new leaf, there will be a benevolent journey where you are. "Go back" and give your own merits and virtues to others, so as to pray for the dead to go to Elysium. "Cihang" means that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas rescue all beings from their suffering, just like a ship, so it is called Cihang. )
In other words, ordinary people who can be crossed by Buddhism in this world are actually destined people, and they will always follow the fate of Buddhism; The Zen that the world participates in is often too utilitarian and has no future. It should be said that if you have no purpose, you will enter the realm of forgetting yourself and the world in Zen, and you will not be troubled by foreign things and your own heart. Only in this way can the door of God open itself.
