His calligraphy is of great artistic value, and it is called the three major calligraphy posts together with Ji Ming's Sacrifice for a Nephew and Cold Food Post. The Preface to Lanting Collection narrates the beauty of landscape and the joy of gathering around Lanting, and expresses the author's feelings of impermanence of life and death. Calligraphy has been handed down from generation to generation, with 28 lines and 324 words. The composition, structure and brushwork are all perfect, which is his masterpiece in middle age.
4. The "second running script in the world" is "Ji Ming's manuscript of offering sacrifices to his nephew" or "manuscript of offering sacrifices to his nephew".
Author: Yan Zhenqing, calligrapher of Tang Dynasty (in memory of my nephew Yan Jiming)
Running paper, 20.8 cm long and 75.5 cm wide, with 23 lines and 234 words. This book was written in 758 AD (the first year of Tang Dynasty).
This manuscript tells the story that Yan Gaoqing, the prefect of Changshan, and his son stood up and opposed it faithfully during the Anshi Rebellion, so that "the father was trapped in the child and died, and the nest fell on the egg" ("Sacrificing the nephew manuscript") took justice and became a benevolent and hero.
Mourning his nephew, Yan Jiming, is even more terrible, mourning Apollo. Throughout this post, the feeling between the pens is like a tide, the calligraphy is magnificent, the vertical pen is unrestrained, and it pours thousands of miles. Often write dry, but also vigorous and smooth. Its heroic spirit is not only seen in the pen, but also reveals passionate emotions between the lines.
It was praised as "the second running script in the world" by Yuan people.
