Wang Yun, a writer and calligrapher in the Liang Dynasty, was born in the fourth year of Qi Jianyuan (482) and died in the first year of Yu Dabao (550) after the Beijing Rebellion. He started his literary creation in 497, the fourth year of Jianwu of Qi Ming Emperor, inherited Yongming's literary heritage and galloped in the literary world for 54 years. Wang Yun actively practiced Yongming's temperament theory, which was appreciated by Shen Yue and later won the respect of the prince. His creation was consistent with the founding of Xiao Liang, and experienced the main development stages of literature in Liang Dynasty. He also had complicated relationships with emperors, nobles, upper-class monks and many writers, especially writers. Understanding Wang Yun is of great significance for deepening the study of literature and the history of classical poetry in the Liang Dynasty.
