How do people with zero foundation learn calligraphy?

Step 1: Choose a pen or gel pen that is convenient for you.

Some friends say that the pen is easy to write and has the feeling of nib, so that it has a taste when written.

1. According to the shape of the pen tip, it can be divided into the following three types:

Small tip, bag tip, sharp tip. Personally, I suggest using a small tip and a bag tip, which is easy to expose the nib and lines, which is conducive to protecting the nib and being durable.

Step 2: Choose a hard-pen copybook.

With the right pen, we began to choose the model and start research.

It is very important to choose copybooks, which is the starting point. If you choose the wrong copybook at first, the later work will be in vain.

Conscience recommendation: The copybooks of Tian Yingzhang and Jing are the first choice for regular script.

Here I emphasize that many friends want to practice calligraphy, and it is wrong to write in copybooks as soon as they come up.

Writing should start from the roots. It is very important to practice basic skills. So, we have to start the next step.

Third, we should practice strokes.

It is very important to lay a good foundation for a tall building to rise from the ground. Choose a copybook with basic strokes. The strokes are well written, which will lay a solid foundation for future calligraphy practice.

If you can't write well, don't write for the time being. If you are unfamiliar, you won't write again.

This step is crucial, and I will focus on it here.

Hold the pen steadily, with solid fingers and empty palms. Pay attention to priorities and sense of rhythm. Need to pay attention to observation and experience slowly.

1. Horizontal painting

Horizontal painting should be written smoothly, but it doesn't have to be horizontal. Generally, it is left low and right high. The pen is slightly heavier, slightly lighter to the right and slightly pressed to the right.

Essentials: Write fast, fast-heavy-light-suddenly.

Vertical drawing

Vertical painting should be written vertically, because vertical painting often plays a key supporting role in a word. Vertical painting is not vertical, and words are not straight. There are two kinds of vertical: hanging vertical and hanging vertical.

The writing method of vertical hanging is slightly heavier when writing, lighter when writing vertically, and slightly heavier when connecting.

The writing method of hanging needle is vertical, the pen is slightly heavy, and the pen should be quickly down and out.

stipple

In a word, it is as important as human eyes, and it is the spiritual embodiment of a word. Pointillism can be divided into right point and left point. You're right. Write lightly, from light to heavy, write to the right, press slightly and then close the pen. You can't repaint, you can do it all at once.

Point to the left, pen up. Writing is basically the same as the right point, but the writing direction is slightly lower to the left, and you should pause when you close the pen.

The key to writing: there must be a process in writing, and you must never close the pen as soon as the pen tip touches the paper.

Step 4: Vertical hook

Write the pen vertically, reach the hook, stop to the left and hook it out, and close the pen at the tip. The acute angle of the hook is about 45 degrees, and the hook is short.

Key points: The front part is the same as the vertical drawing, and the pen should stop at the back, and then hook it out at 45 degrees to the left.

5. Staggered folds

Write horizontally from left to right, pause at the crease, then fold the pen and write vertically. Vertical is short vertical, inclined to the left at an angle of 45 degrees.

Pay attention to the horizontal, vertical and straight, and the folds should be scratched one by one without interruption. Folds cannot be written as "sharp corners", nor can they be too large to form "two corners".

6. Cross-folding hooks

Write a short horizontal line, fold it down after the short horizontal line, and sometimes tilt it slightly to the left. After making a short stroke on the hook, hook it to the upper left and write it down.

Important point: pay attention to the position of the turn, it needs a short pause, and then hook it vertically.

First of all, these basic strokes should be practiced repeatedly until they are proficient. Write each stroke at least 300 times to deepen your memory in your mind.

As long as you practice 1 hour every day for about 5 days, you can master the writing of strokes.

The fourth step, after practicing strokes and knowing the horizontal and vertical writing of strokes, you begin to practice calligraphy, that is, the shelf structure of practicing calligraphy.

At this time, you can find a copybook to practice and write in red. It is suggested to choose regular script copybook and running script copybook to write. Regular script is conducive to mastering the inter-frame structure of words, and running script copybook is conducive to the fluency of words and easy to find feelings. After all, from the perspective of appreciation, running script is more beautiful.

What should we do with the copybook after we have chosen it?

Now tell everyone that if you are zero-based, you must draw red first and follow the copybook. There are many descriptions.

The first and most common one is a tracing book, which is to add a layer of transparent paper to the original.

Second, write directly on the light handwriting to cover the handwriting.

Third, write in the groove according to the handwriting.

The second one is strongly recommended, which is written directly on light handwriting, easy to identify and unified to grasp.

After the previous stroke practice, with a certain foundation, this step is easier to get started. This direct description of the light-colored self is very easy to use. It takes about 10 days, lasting one hour every day.

The fifth step is copying.

After the description, you must copy it, which is the key link to lay the foundation. It is related to how far and how long you can walk on the road of calligraphy.

Copying is also the most difficult process, which requires more observation and understanding. It would be better to have the guidance of teachers around you, which is much faster than your own understanding.

Here, I recommend a copybook to everyone. Wang Xizhi's Ling Fei Classic is a copybook of ancient brush calligraphy. Because of its regular, beautiful, delicate and flexible font structure, it is very suitable for hard pen writing practice and basic skills.

Replication also takes about 5- 10 days. The specific effect depends on your understanding, and you can also create works when copying.

A complete calligraphy work should include text, inscription and seal.

Generally speaking, you should follow these steps and practice step by step. Students with zero foundation can practice their words well in about a month.
