Zhou Tieheng's introduction

Zhou Tieheng (1902— 1968) was originally named Zhou Deyu, alias Tieweng, semi-deaf, gardener. The names of these halls are Semi-deaf Building, Donghu Zhai, Ye Xiang Pavilion and Houyi. People in Jixian County, Hebei Province. At the age of thirteen, he went to the northeast, studied painting under Qiu at the age of sixteen, and went to Beijing at the age of twenty to worship Qi Baishi as his teacher. 1927 graduated from Manchuria medical university and studied in Japan. I have been addicted to ancient times all my life, met Guo Moruo and became lifelong friends. In painting, he is good at painting flowers and birds with heavy colors and freehand brushwork. At the same time, he also paints landscapes, blending Qi Baishi, Wu Changshuo, Zhu Da and Ren Bonian. He is also good at regular poetry, seal cutting and calligraphy. He has studied epigraphy, ancient literature, archaeology and guqin performance. He wrote about painting in a semi-deaf building, and later lived a life of printing grass, keeping track of money and analyzing gynecology. He used to be the chief physician of the second store of Shenyang Department Store and the seal cutting teacher of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. His works include Double Happiness Map and so on.
