Jicheng was born on March 4, 1918, the 7th year of the Republic of China (the 22nd day of the first lunar month). Since childhood, he studied ancient Chinese poetry, calligraphy and painting under the tutelage of Wang Huanghui, a late Qing scholar from Quanzhou. As he grows up, he studies diligently and combines the strengths of various schools in cursive and cursive calligraphy. He is free and easy, elegant and handsome, and has a unique style; oracle bones, bells and tripods, Wei stele, and official script each have their own creativity; the "Four Gentlemen" painted with plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum contain ancient elegance. Its charm is known as the three masterpieces of poetry, calligraphy and painting. His works have participated in dozens of domestic and foreign art exhibitions. He has won the first prize at the Sino-Japanese Cultural Exchange International Calligraphy Exhibition and the World Net Creek Artist Award, receiving rave reviews. In the spring of 1989, at the joint invitation of the Taipei City Anxi Clan Association and the Taipei City Liugui Clan Association, a personal calligraphy and painting exhibition was held for the first time at the Fujian Clan Association Cultural Center. There was an endless stream of visitors, and more than 200 works were reserved by knowledgeable people. Ordered and collected some of the best products, and more than 20 people re-ordered them at the same time.
Jicheng has a profound knowledge of traditional Chinese culture, is loyal and modest in nature, elegant and optimistic, and is indifferent and self-satisfied. The seal couplet "Self-preservation is stupid and has thousands of worries, and there is no way to help the world but is sincere" is a true portrayal of his life in the world. . He once solicited scholarships and bursaries for the Anxi Township Association, traveled to Singapore, Malaysia, India, and Thailand, established a scholarship committee to benefit outstanding children from the same hometown, and participated in the compilation of historical materials of the Liuguitang surname and family biographies at home and abroad, and prepared for the establishment of the Liuguitang surname. Guitang Ancestral Hall actively participates in cross-strait cultural exchange activities and is deeply respected by fellow villagers and artistic colleagues.
