Before the Qing Dynasty, all calligraphy was written with hard pen. Pen-lifting appeared in the middle of Qing Dynasty, and the pen-making technology was also developing constantly.
3. People with good calligraphy don't have particularly high requirements for pens, but in the early stage of learning calligraphy, they will still choose the appropriate brush according to the different fonts. The most commonly used brush for writing official script is a half-millipen. Half brush is a kind of brushwork between male brush and lang brush. When writing, it is very tough and absorbs a lot of ink, which is very suitable for writing.
4. Yang Haobi is made of tail hair of Qingyang or Huangyang, which is more suitable for calligraphy with strong brushwork. The written words are soft and have no edges and corners. Moreover, Yang Hao's ink absorption ability is relatively large, and the strokes he writes are round and thick, while Yang Hao's pen is very durable.
5. Pay attention to the swallowtail of the silkworm head when using the pen for official script, so when writing, pay attention to drawing the strokes into the shape similar to the silkworm head, and when closing the pen, raise the pen obliquely and point to the upper right.
