Walking on the Kongtong Mountain, looking up at the blue sky and white clouds and overlooking the fairyland on earth, unconsciously, I forgot my troubles, only accompanied by coolness and comfort.
Kongtong Mountain: The First Taoist Mountain in China
Kongtong Mountain, located in Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is the fortress of the ancient Silk Road in the west. It is the first batch of 5A-level scenic spots, national key scenic spots, national geological parks and national nature reserves. Here, the peaks are majestic and the cliffs stand tall, just like a ghost axe; The forest is vast, and the smoke cage is locked in the fog, like an ethereal fairyland; It is rich in the majesty of the mountains in the north and the beauty in the south.
As early as the Qin and Han dynasties, there was a human landscape in Kongtong Mountain. According to legend, Guang studied Taoism here, and the Yellow Emperor came to ask Guang, so it was called "the first Taoist mountain in the world".
After the construction of past dynasties, pavilions, temples, temples and pagodas are all over the peaks. As early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties, people called the scenic spots on the mountain "Twelve Kongtong Scenery": Xiangfeng Doulian, Xianqiao Hongkua, Cuotou Duocui, Moonstone with Beads, Spring Candles, Jade Spray Glass, Hedong Yuanyun and so on. Since ancient times, there have been "the first mountain in the west", "West Town Wonder" and "Kongtong Wonder".
In recent years, newly built scenic spots such as Pingliang, Kannonji, TongTianqiao and Wendong Palace have made Kongtong Mountain more beautiful.
Overlooking the imperial city, Pingliang city has a panoramic view.
From the tourist center up the mountain, you can climb the top of Xiangshan Mountain, visit the imperial city, climb the ladder, visit Chaotianmen, and then spend the night in China and Thailand. Walking in the virgin forest, the breeze blows all the way, listening to birds singing, breathing the fragrance of plants, and being in close contact with nature at every step.
Xiangshan is 2 123.5 meters above sea level, which is the highest point of Kongtong Mountain. Xiangshan Temple, built in Yuan Dynasty, was destroyed in the reconstruction of 1982. This is a pavilion that imitates Ming and Qing architecture. Underground is the Geo-museum of Kongtong Mountain National Geopark, which has nine functional areas to show visitors different parts of Kongtong Mountain.
The Imperial City, also known as Taihe Palace, is the best preserved Ming Dynasty architectural complex on Kongtong Mountain. It was originally built by the Ming Dynasty resident in Fan Pingliang and his wife Guo. The Imperial City has eight halls, namely, Shitian Hall, Lingxiao Hall, Wangyao Hall, Taishang Laojun Building, Zhenwu Hall, Taishanggan Hall and Taibai Hall. The overall architectural style is symmetrical, with temples built on top, temples built after and temples hidden inside. Standing overlooking the Imperial City, Pingliang City has a panoramic view.
Climbing the ladder comes from the meaning of reaching the sky. It was built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. After three repairs and reform and opening-up in Ming and Qing dynasties, it has formed its present scale. The total number of steps is 369, the mesa width is 2.5 meters, and the slope of stone steps is between 45 degrees and 75 degrees. There is an ancient poem describing climbing a ladder: "One step is only one inch short, and Tianmen climbs the iron column." Only by traveling here can you get on the road. "
Chaotianmen was founded in the Ming Dynasty. Chaotianmen on the lintel was inscribed by Mr. Zhang Xiumin, a famous calligrapher in Pingliang, and Kongtong Mountain was inscribed by Mr. Qi Gong, a famous contemporary calligrapher. Both sides were inscribed by Mr Ouyang Zhongshi, former consultant of China Calligraphers Association.
