Baotou University for the Elderly was established in September 1986 and is the first university for the elderly in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 2009, based on the needs of elderly students and based on existing conditions, the University for the Elderly opened courses on current affairs and politics, literary writing, calligraphy, painting, health care, vocal music, dance, Tai Chi and swordsmanship. Currently, there are more than 400 students on campus. School address: 200 meters north of Baotou City Hall, Kunming District.
