Northern Song Dynasty
Taizu Zhao Kuangyin (927-976) proclaimed himself emperor in 960 and reigned for 17 years

Taizong Zhao Guangyi (939-997) ascended the throne in 976 and reigned for 22 years
Zhao Guangyi was the younger brother of Song Taizu. After taking the throne, he continued Taizu's unfinished cause of unifying the country in 978. The King of Wuyue surrendered, and in 979, the King of Northern Han surrendered, but suffered heavy defeats in two battles with the Liao Kingdom. It also began the history of the Song Dynasty's repeated defeats in wars with foreign nations.
Zhenzong Zhao Heng (968-1022) ascended the throne in 997 and reigned for 25 years.
Zhenzong Zhao Heng was the third son of Taizong. He was "study by nature" and was quite diligent in political affairs in the early stage. However, he did nothing militarily. Renzong Zhao Zhen (1010-1063) ascended the throne in 1022 and reigned for 41 years
Originally named Benefit, the sixth son of Zhenzong, Renzong was only 12 years old when he came to the throne. The empress dowager listened to the government behind the curtain. , came into power in 1033. Renzong was "close to women" and did not achieve much in military or political affairs. He was defeated in the war with Xixia, and Fan Zhongyan's reform failed. He died in 1063, and his temple name was Renzong.
Yingzong Zhao Shu (1032-1067) ascended the throne in 1063 and reigned for 5 years
The great-grandson of Song Taizong, Zhao Yunrang, the thirteenth son of Pu'an Yi King, was established because Renzong had no children. Huizong Zhao Ji (1082-1135) ascended the throne in 1100 and reigned for 26 years. He passed the throne to Qinzong in 1125

Qinzong Zhao Heng (1100-1156) ascended the throne in 1125 and reigned for one year. He was captured by Jin soldiers in 1127 and killed in 1156 at the age of 57

Gaozong Zhaogou, the ninth son of Song Huizong. It was located in Nanjing (today's Shangqiu) in 1127 and was known as the Southern Song Dynasty in history. In 1138, the capital was moved to Hangzhou. Guangzong (1147-1194)
