Writing rules of hard pen calligraphy

To learn hard-pen calligraphy, we must first understand the following five laws.

First, the combination of static and dynamic

Hard pen writing speed should have a fast and slow rhythm. Start and close the pen slowly and move the pen quickly and slowly at the turning point.

Second, there are light and heavy.

When writing, we should pay attention to the difference between the three basic movements, that is, the intensity of starting and closing the pen is slightly heavier, the intensity of writing is slightly lighter, and the intensity of turning and stopping is heavier. Strong strength, thick strokes. If the intensity is light, the strokes will be fine. The combination of light and heavy strength can make the strokes well written, scattered, ups and downs and full of movement.

The horizontal, vertical and left strokes are heavier, the strokes of dots and strokes are lighter, and the turning point should pause slightly, and the strokes of lifting and hooking should pause slightly.

Third, a good beginning and a good ending.

In the process of writing, it is necessary to make clear the starting and ending of strokes, which should be clear and appropriate in length.

Fourth, the direction is clear.

You should be able to control the direction of strokes when writing. Different strokes have different strokes. Horizontal painting is from left to right, vertical painting is from top to bottom, left painting is from top to bottom, and left painting is from top to bottom. When different strokes appear in different positions of words, their directions are also different.

Fifth, virtuality and reality are innate.

Static things lack aesthetic feeling, and the combination of reality and reality can produce movement. Therefore, in the process of hard pen writing, we should combine static and dynamic, combined with the actual situation. The virtual place is thin, sharp, light and light in color, which is formed because of the fast moving speed. In calligraphy, people call this "virtual" brushstroke.

In order to highlight and show one main factor, other factors will be deliberately "blurred". The combination of reality and fiction refers to the writing effect, writing style and outstanding aesthetic feeling. The center of gravity of words should be stable and the stroke distribution should be symmetrical.
