Brief introduction of Zhang Menglong

Zhang Menglong's inscription was written in the third year of Zheng Guang, Ming Taizu, Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 522). The inscription is an official book without the author's name. Yang stele has 24 lines, each with 46 words. The original monument is now in the exhibition hall of Confucius Temple Monument in Qufu, Shandong Province. The inscription records Zhang Menglong's political achievements when he was the satrap of Lujun County. The calligraphy of this tablet is delicate and vigorous, which was the forerunner of Ou Yangxun and Yu Shinan in the Tang Dynasty. Its forehead calligraphy is particularly dangerous and vigorous, and it has become a rare pen in the Northern Wei Dynasty.
