1. Jiading Confucius Temple, located on South Street, Jiading District. A county-level Confucius Temple with a history of nearly 800 years in Jiangnan area. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Shanghai allocated funds twice to restore the old temple. The existing building is only 67/10 of the original. It is one of the more complete Confucius temples in China and is now the location of the Jiading Museum.

There are three archways in front of the gate of the Confucius Temple. There are 72 stone lions carved on the pillar heads in front of the stone railings. In the center of the temple are statues of Confucius and 72 of his students.

What is eye-catching inside the temple is the display of imperial examination relics in the Minglun Hall of the Shanghai Museum. The main buildings in the temple include Dacheng Hall and ancient cypresses planted more than 600 years ago. There is an east stele corridor in the temple, about 50 meters long, which preserves calligraphy inscriptions from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.

2. Jiading Wisteria Garden, the most beautiful purple scenery in Shanghai. Located by the river around the city on Bole Road, Jiading District, there are more than 100 excellent varieties of wisteria in the garden, with colors ranging from purple, red, pink, yellow, white and other colors. The longest flower spike is more than 150 meters long. The layout of the wisteria garden has Characteristics of Chinese landscape gardens.

At the same time, it also incorporates some Japanese gardening styles in Japan, such as water bodies, rockeries, small bridges, stone lanterns and other attractions. In late April every year, purple flowers are clustered in the garden, with an attractive fragrance, forming a purple landscape. The waterfall is very spectacular. Stroll under the wisteria corridor and feel the romantic atmosphere of spring. April is the best viewing period.

3. Jiading Museum, a county-level museum where humanity and nature coexist. Bole Road, Jiading District, Jiading City. The outside of the museum has a modern and simple look. The museum has three floors above ground and underground. Currently, only two regular exhibition halls on the 1st and 2nd floors are open. It shows the comprehensive history and culture of Jiading area’s history, economy, culture, education and customs.

It is divided into two exhibition areas: one exhibition area is "Jiaocheng Mark - Jiading History Exhibition", which introduces the entire historical development of Jiading, from the origin of Jiading to related humanistic history; the other exhibition area is " "Lianchuan Collection - Jiading Museum Collection Cultural Relics Display", the cultural relics on display are donated by all walks of life.

These include calligraphy and painting, pottery, jade, bamboo and wood toothpicks, dating from the Shang and Zhou dynasties to the 1980s, showing Chinese civilization and Jiading culture. After the visit, we went to the backyard of the museum, where there are mountains, water, and grassland, giving it a unique Jiangnan garden flavor.

4. Jiading Nanxiang Twin Towers, the oldest brick towers in Shanghai. Located in Renmin Street, Nanxiang Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. The Nanxiang Twin Pagodas are the longevity stars among the ancient pagodas in Shanghai. They have seven levels and eight sides and are 11 meters high. It is also a treasure among the brick pagodas in my country, built from the Five Dynasties to the Northern Song Dynasty.

The flame-shaped pot door, simple mullioned windows, exquisite brackets, delicate railings and graceful pagoda brakes on the tower are well proportioned and show the typical architectural style of the Tang and Song Dynasties. They are the only pair of ancient imitation wood structure loft-style brick towers remaining in the country and have extremely high artistic value.

5. Qiuxia Garden. A rare maple viewing spot in Shanghai. Located in East Street, Jiading Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. Among the many holy places for autumn appreciation in Shanghai, Qiuxia Garden is definitely among them. It is also known as Shanghai's five classical gardens together with Songjiang Zuibai Pond, Shanghai Yu Garden, Nanxiang Ancient Ripple Garden, and Qingpu District Water Garden. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and consists of Peach Blossom Pond, Ningxia Pavilion, Qingjing Pond and Yimiao Scenic Area.

The biggest feature here is the autumn scenery. Like all Jiangnan gardens, pavilions, rockeries, ponds, flowers, and trees are indispensable. The main ornamental tree species is Hongdafeng. In autumn, the fiery red maple trees are very beautiful. .
