Zhao Mengfu in Yuan Dynasty said: During the Zhenguan period in Tang Dynasty, the calligrapher Ouyang was the best, and the Zen master Daming was the best. Weng Fanggang in Qing Dynasty also commented that it was "the most impressive work, with meticulous words and no galloping meaning".
It's a pity that such a baby, the original tablet has long been lost. This monument originally stood in a Buddhist temple in Zhong Nanshan, Chang 'an, Shaanxi. During the Qing Dynasty in the Northern Song Dynasty, Fan Yong visited Zhong Nanshan and saw the original monument standing in the temple, which was a treasure. He lingered in front of the monument for a long time, reluctant to leave. Later, when the monks in the temple heard about it, they thought that there was a treasure hidden in this monument, so they broke it open and searched for treasure everywhere. Without any results, they abandoned the residual stones behind the temple. As blind as a bat, reckless.
There are only a handful of stone tablets in Huadu Temple, many of which are reprinted.
"Four Euros" is the closest to the original stone, and Wang Zhuanghong said that it "can't look around".
The first one or two pages of Dunhuang Remnants are now in the National Library of Paris, and the other ten pages are now in the British Museum in London. 12 page contains 236 words.
The above two rubbings are often published together. Shanghai Painting and Calligraphy Publishing House, China Classic Inscription, Ou Yangxun Huadu Temple Inscription, printed in black and white, is also a collection.
Shanghai Painting and Calligraphy Publishing House, famous inscriptions in China, inscriptions on Buddhist pagodas in Huadu Temple in Ou Yangxun, printed in primary colors, including "Si Ou Tang Ben" and "Dunhuang Remnant Edition".
In addition, I recommend another one. Cultural Relics Publishing House, an anthology of ancient inscriptions and calligraphy works, has a clearer picture of the Ou Yangxun Painting and Calligraphy Temple in Tang Dynasty, which is very close to the "Four Classrooms in Europe".
