Song Yang of the Department of Biochemistry can be regarded as a calligraphy lover with great development potential in our college. In recent years, his calligraphy works have been frequently exhibited and won prizes in various national exhibitions, and his name has gradually become known to people. He is currently a member of China Hard Pen Calligraphers Association, Chongqing Hard Pen Calligraphers Association, Qijiang Calligraphers Association, director of China Calligraphers Association and executive director of Contemporary Teachers and Students Calligraphers Association.
Song Yang is a native of Qijiang, which is an ancient southern country. He likes writing and drawing since he was a child. Since I entered Qijiang Teachers College, I have developed a strong interest in calligraphy. Under the guidance of regular calligraphy teaching, I have been working hard, posting for hours every day, rain or shine. Under the guidance of full-time calligraphy teachers Chen, Yuan and Yang, I gradually got started. Later, I was lucky enough to meet a group of senior calligraphers who graduated from Qi Normal University, such as Wang, a famous young calligrapher, vice chairman and secretary general of Qijiang Calligraphers Association. With their guidance and help, Song Yang's calligraphy level has improved rapidly, and some works have won prizes in competitions at all levels.
In 2005, Song Yang was admitted to the Institute of Education. With the variety of college life, he chose other ways to spend his spare time. But he still chose to pursue the art of calligraphy tirelessly, practicing calligraphy for 7 or 8 hours every day, and spending almost all his spare time in the calligraphy training center. Where there is a will, there is a way. After entering the College of Education, under the guidance of Associate Professor Zou, coupled with his diligence and high comprehension ability, his calligraphy level, whether brush or hard pen, has reached a higher level. During this period, his works began to be published in professional newspapers and periodicals, and won more than 80 prizes in calligraphy competitions at all levels in China. For example, he won the first prize in the 25th Campus Spring College Students' Painting and Calligraphy Photography Exhibition hosted by the Propaganda Department of Chongqing Municipal Committee, the Communist Youth League Committee and the Municipal Education Commission, and won the Excellence Award in the 3rd China Youth Calligraphy Art Competition hosted by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. The second prize of "Advocating Science and Opposing Superstition" in Chongqing Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition of Chang 'an Cup sponsored by the Municipal Education Commission, the second prize of the Third National Teacher's Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition in the new century, the excellent prize of the Second Calligraphy Newspaper Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition, the Jinding Prize of the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition (the first bronze prize and the second gold prize), and the third prize of the 10th China Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition, especially in Chongqing in June 2007.
While developing and highlighting his own specialties, he has been very diligent and hardworking in his studies. And took part in the self-study exam, and now I have finished all the courses. During my school days, I won two first-class scholarships, and was awarded the honorary titles of advanced individual in literary and artistic activities in colleges and universities in Chongqing, advanced individual model in literary and artistic activities in colleges and universities in Chongqing, "excellent officer" in Chongqing Academy and "Top Ten Calligraphy" in Chongqing Academy.
