Jinghe Qing or Weihe Qing?

There is a poem in the autumn rain sigh by Du Fu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty: "What should be the difference between turbid Jing and clear Wei?" We can know that the Jinghe River is turbid and the Weihe River is clear.

What is the real situation? After expert research, it is believed that the "turbid and clear" mentioned by the ancients should be in the auditory period. During the rainy season in July and August, Jinghe River will carry a lot of sediment when it passes through Weibei Plateau, so the river will be very turbid. Weihe River carries a small amount of sediment, which will be clearer than Jinghe River.

Therefore, it is "clear and turbid" at ordinary times and "clear and turbid" in rainy season.
