About the author: Li Bai (70 1-762), a native of Broken Leaf City in the Western Regions, was a romantic poet in the Tang Dynasty and was praised as a "poetic immortal" by later generations. He died in 1962 at the age of 6 1.
Background of Poetry Creation: In the spring of 759, in the second year of Gan Yuan, Tang Suzong, Li Bai was pardoned during his long exile due to the Lilin incident in Wang Yong, ending 15 months of exile and regaining his freedom.
