Background of Poetry Creation: In the spring of 759, in the second year of Gan Yuan, Tang Suzong, Li Bai was pardoned during his long exile due to the Lilin incident in Wang Yong, ending 15 months of exile and regaining his freedom. The poet immediately sailed eastward, stayed in Jianghan area for a while, and then went south to Dongting and Xiaoxiang. This poem was written this autumn.
