For the rejuvenation of the nation, a lineage of heroes and martyrs
People’s policeman Chen Yuxin’s heroic sacrifice while arresting gangsters has been praised in Shihezi City, Xinjiang for a long time. Every year, the public security officers and people here come to the Martyrs Cemetery to commemorate this heroic model.
Chen Yuxin, born in 1960, is from Huaiyang County, Henan Province, Han nationality. Joined the Chinese People's Communist Party in 1979, retired from the army in 1982 and worked as a driver in the Second Automobile Transport Company of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. He joined the public security work in 1991 and served as a scout in the Criminal Police Brigade of the Urban Branch of the Shihezi City Public Security Bureau of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Joined the Communist Party of China in 1993.
In the early morning of June 1, 1995, Chen Yuxin was ordered to carry out the task of arresting the criminals of the theft gang together with his comrades. After arriving at the residence where the criminals were hiding, Comrade Chen Yuxin rushed into the house first, regardless of the danger to his life, and captured the three criminals on the spot with his comrades.
While searching the criminal, one of the criminals suddenly pulled out a pistol and shot Chen Yuxin, with the bullet penetrating his abdomen. Facing the criminal who was stubbornly resisting, Chen Yuxin was not afraid in the face of danger, endured the severe pain, and quickly raised his gun to fight back. The criminal then shot him again. He was shot in his right arm and the pistol fell to the ground. When he saw the criminal pointing his gun at another policeman, he rushed towards the criminal without hesitation, tried his best to snatch the criminal's pistol, and used his body to block the two bullets the criminal fired at his comrades. The comrades who were searching the back room arrived upon hearing the sound and shot the criminal to death on the spot. Unfortunately, Chen Yuxin died heroically because he was shot four times and bled excessively.
Since Chen Yuxin joined the public security work in 1991, he has been committed to his job, worked hard, studied hard, and continuously improved his political and professional qualities. He has participated in the detection of more than 600 major and major cases, personally captured more than 10 criminals, and was subjected to many Awards, and was awarded third-class merit once.
The Shihezi City Public Security Bureau stated that Chen Yuxin embodies the revolutionary spirit of the people's policemen who are infinitely loyal to the party, the motherland, and the people, and embodies the fearless heroism of defending the law, fulfilling their duties, and having the courage to sacrifice themselves. Chen Yuxin used his actual actions to demonstrate the professional style of a people's policeman and the noble sentiments of a Communist Party member who is loyal to the party and the country, loves the people, and serves the people wholeheartedly.
