Knowledge related to Chinese studies
1. Sinology in a broad sense refers to the cultural heritage and academic records of China in the past dynasties, including China's ancient history, philosophy, geography, politics, economy, calligraphy and painting, music, Yi ology, martial arts, medicine, astrology and architecture. Sinology in a narrow sense refers to China's ancient theory.
2. Modern Sinology belongs to a broad concept. Although it is closely related to Confucian classics, its value orientation is different and its meaning is broader, covering all kinds of traditional academics in a subset of Confucian classics and history. Generally speaking, Sinology is the abbreviation of "China Scholarship", as opposed to "Western Learning".
