Brief introduction of the author
Li Shangyin (8 12-858) was born in western Henan (xi) and in Hanoi, Huaizhou (now Qinyang, Henan). Squeezed out by the Niuli Party, he was down and out all his life. His poems are good at rhythm and uniqueness, rich in literary talent, rich in style and color, versatile in allusions and obscure in meaning, among which untitled poems are the most famous. You asked me when I would go home, but I haven't set a date yet.
It rains heavily in Bashan tonight, and it rains in autumn pool.
When will you and I get together again and cut the candle flowers in the west window?
Tonight, I will tell you about the autumn rain, my painful feelings.
Comments:
This is a lyric poem. The first two sentences of this poem, with questions and answers and descriptions of the immediate environment, illustrate the lonely feelings and deep nostalgia for his wife. The last two sentences imagine the joy of meeting again in the future and compare with the loneliness tonight. The language is shallow and affectionate, implicit and meaningful, well known and memorable.
According to textual research, this poem was written by the author when he entered the Liu Zhongying Zizhou shogunate of Dongchuan secretariat from July to September in the fifth year of Dazhong (85 1). At this time, Yishan's wife Wang Shi died (Wang Shi died in the summer and autumn of Dazhong five years). So, give this poem to friends in Chang 'an. However, a mountain entered the catalpa curtain, and in the summer and autumn of the fifth year, his wife died. Even if Wang's death comes first and Yishan's poems come last, it is completely possible in the era of traffic jams and poor information.
As far as the content of poetry is concerned, if we understand it by "sending it inside", we will feel sad and lingering; It looks like "Send to the North", too delicate, too plain and too delicate.
