Isn't the middle and lower reaches of rivers in China an important inland waterway, the Yangtze River, the Yellow River, the Pearl River or the Huaihe River?

There are six main inland waterways in China.

1, Changjiang River

The Yangtze River is the "golden waterway" of China, with a navigable mileage of about 80,000 kilometers. The main stream from Yibin, Sichuan to Hekou, with a total length of more than 2,800 kilometers, is navigable all year round. It is the longest inland waterway in China. Among them, the Yangtze River estuary to Wuhan waterway can pass 5000-ton ships; The waterway between Hankou and Chongqing can handle 3000-ton river boats, and the waterway between Yibin and Chongqing can handle ships below 1000 tons. The main stream, tributaries, lakes and artificial canals are interconnected, forming the largest water transport network in China. After 5438+0949, the shoal from Chongqing to Yichang was mainly regulated, the waterway facilities were perfect, and the navigation capacity of Chuanjiang River was greatly improved. The trunk lines and tributaries of the Yangtze River are connected with Cheng Kun, Beijing-Guangzhou and Sichuan-Guizhou. It is also connected with Huaihe River, Pearl River and Zhejiang-Fujian water systems through canals and land and water transportation in some areas. At present, the freight volume of the whole main stream of the Yangtze River has increased by about 15 times compared with the initial 1949, the passenger traffic has increased by 12.6 times, and the port throughput along the Yangtze River has increased by more than 12 times. The completed freight volume accounts for 42.6% of the total inland river freight volume in China. The main ports along the route are Chongqing, Yichang, Shashi, Chenglingji, Wuhan, Huangshi, Jiujiang, Anqing, Wuhu, Maanshan, Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Zhangjiagang, Nantong and Shanghai.

At present, the freight volume of the Yangtze River has surpassed that of foreign navigable rivers with developed inland waterway transportation, becoming the largest and busiest navigable river in the world. In 20 10, the turnover of waterway cargo in the Yangtze River was 6,430.528 billion ton-km, the port container throughput was 634 TEUs, and the river-sea direct transportation volume was 550 million tons, increasing by 15. 1%, 20.6%, 23.6% and 9.0% respectively compared with 2005. In 20 10, the water freight volume of the Yangtze River system was12.3 billion tons, which was 1.6 times that of the Mississippi River system. Seven provinces and two cities along the Yangtze River have gathered more than 4 1% of China's total economic output. At present, the Yangtze River water transport undertakes 80% of iron ore, 72% of crude oil and 83% of coal transportation required by enterprises along the Yangtze River.

2. The Pearl River is the largest water system in South China with Guangzhou as the center, and it is the main artery of water transport, and its navigation value is second only to that of the Yangtze River. At present, the navigable mileage is only 1/3 of the river length, of which only 1/6 is navigable by motor boats, which still has great development potential.

Xijiang River is the main inland navigation trunk line of the Pearl River system. The Wuzhou-Guangzhou section is navigable all the year round. Small barges can be used below Baise, and wooden sailboats can be traced back to Yunnan. Ships under Shaoguan in Beijiang River are navigable, and wooden sailboats above Shaoguan and its tributaries are navigable. Dongjiang River can only be navigable by wooden boats from Longchuan to Hekou, and ships can be navigable for more than 400 kilometers below Longchuan.

Huaihe River has been an important navigable river since ancient times. Later, because the Yellow River captured the Huaihe River at the end of 12, it was also destroyed by man-made projects in previous dynasties, and the Huaihe River became a harmful river. After the founding of New China, after 40 years' efforts, the shipping volume of trunk and tributary increased rapidly, which was seven times higher than that of 1949 in the late 1980s. At present, the water transport potential of Huaihe River has not been fully exerted.

4. The shipping value of the Yellow River is far less than that of the Yangtze River, Pearl River and other rivers, so it is basically impossible to sail above Guide. Only rafts can be used between Guide and Zhongwei, wooden boats can be used between Zhongwei-Yinchuan, Xizhaozhao-Hekou, Longmen-Jin Meng and Jin Meng-Taochengpu, and boats can be used between Taochengpu and Kenli, but navigation is not allowed in shallow water below Kenli.

The navigation mileage of Heilongjiang, Songhua River and Heilongjiang in China is about 2200 kilometers. Songhua River is the largest tributary of Heilongjiang, with a navigable mileage of 1500 km, which has important shipping value. Heilongjiang and Songhua River are frozen for 5-6 months throughout the year. Although ships can't sail during the freezing period, they can develop a unique transportation mode in Northeast China-ice transportation.

6. The Beijing-Hangzhou Canal is the earliest man-made canal with the longest route in the world. Its completion made up for the deficiency of the north-south longitudinal natural waterway in China to a certain extent, and played an important role in the communication of materials between the north and the south in China. Since the construction of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, it has undergone several changes and has been continuously rectified since the 1950s. The seasonal navigation mileage has reached 1 100 km, and it has been open all the year round since 660 km south of Pixian County.

So it should be Huaihe River.
