High above.
The face is empty, and the Buddha should also have a backrest;
On high places, people must come back here.
Two small guesses, one is decided by Gu Quan first;
After three glasses of light wine, ten thousand people can't get married.
On the surface, it is a combination of language and fact. Shanglian said that the two children had a close relationship since childhood, and their engagement was very simple. They only exchanged an ancient coin. The second couplet said that the country was in difficulty at that time, so getting married changed customs and got married after drinking a few glasses of light wine. But in the plain, it is very ingenious. Two Little Guesses and How Difficult It Is for Ten Thousand People were translated into poems by Li Bai and Du Fu respectively, but they were apt and seamless. Writing "Gu Quan" instead of "ancient money" makes the antithesis more effective and shows the elegance of both sides. The couplets are natural and fluent, which expresses the anxiety about the current situation through the wedding and also shows the author's new ideas of enlightenment and progress.
Fang Dishan likes humor. Once, Aunt Yuan invited friends and friends to get together. When the wine was hot, Fang Dishan presented an impromptu book:
If you want something for nothing, you can't borrow it by pointing at the stars.
I don't love you. I'm afraid of going into the mountains and always come back empty-handed.
There is also a poem before the couplet: "Han Yun's eleventh relative is Yu Peiwen, nicknamed Qiao Bao, and the rest are drooling."
19 16, Yuan Shikai died of illness in public reviling, and Fangdishan lost the biggest backer. He wrote to Lian Wan Yun and said:
When chanting Qionglou storm, it is well known in the south that childe;
Remember the temple and laugh at each other, and don't treat me like a northern minister.
This couplet shows his special relationship with Yuan Shikai, and also shows his deep gratitude for Yuan Shikai's reunion after such a long separation, which is hard to forget. But it is by no means unclear.
After the death of Cai E, the anti-Yuan general, Zeng Zeng, Wan Yun and Cai E United:
Unfortunately, Zhou Lang became short-lived;
I know Li Jing is a hero.
The antithetical couplet compares Cai to Zhou Yu in Battle of Red Cliffs, and to Li Jing in "The Three Heroes of Dust", which not only quotes the classics, but also has profound implications, and it is also an understanding and judgment of Yuan Shikai's ugly behavior of subverting and endangering the great cause of the country and the nation.
193 1 March, Yuan died of scarlet fever at the age of forty. Dishan was heartbroken and tearfully wrote a couplet:
Who knows Li Qiao's real genius?

Li Qiao was a romantic genius who was as famous as Wang Bo and Yang Jiong in the early Tang Dynasty. He is elegant and witty, and his articles are praised by later generations. Tian Chou was a hermit in the Three Kingdoms period. This man is good at reading and fencing, which coincides with Dong Zhuo's rebellion. He led his family and hundreds of his followers to flee into the deep mountains, plowing the fields to support their relatives, and the people were moved by the wind, gathering more than 5 thousand households in a few years. This elegiac couplet is compared with the allusions of Li Qiao and Tian Chou. It takes only fourteen words to describe the great difference between Yuan's situation and fate, his personality and ethics, and the inner conflict he brought to himself, which is very literary. It can be said that it is a "coffin" for this talented person who is born in a noble family, extremely intelligent and romantic.
Fang erqian and the painter Zhang Daqian have the same temperament and forged an unforgettable friendship. 1934, Daqian went to North Korea and his friends gave him a farewell dinner. Fang erqian improvised a pair of handwritten couplets for him:
The two largest mountains and rivers in the world;
There are thousands of smooth roads.
The Eighth National Congress is really immortal to this day;
5 thousand, and then who?
The second pair is particularly ingenious, borrowing the words "Daqian" from the couplets of the painter Zhu Da (No.Badashan) and Gong Xian (No."Banqian") in the Qing Dynasty, leaving No trace.
Fang Dishan is a wild man, who especially likes to travel with prostitutes. Among the couplets he left, many inscribed couplets were given to prostitutes, but in his banter, there were still witty remarks, and he was able to show his true colors. For example, a gift for the singer Miao Yulian:
It is better to be speechless;
It is better to dare to live in the clouds than to leave me.
Another example is the gift of singer Yuan Lian:
A woman's room and family, I regard it as a kind of passing away;
People living in the same place look like fairies.
Another example is:
Forget it, it's all empty talk, borrow a cup and pour a block;
Sleepless with joy, sitting and watching the bright moon shine on ChanJuan. (Celebrating the wedding for prostitutes)
Suddenly the pipa has been hated for ages;
Singing and dancing are light in the palm of your hand. (horseshoe couplets for prostitutes)
Yang Liuan Xiaofeng waning moon;
Peony Pavilion is purple and red. (Give a prostitute a red moon)
The second couplet is the most ingenious. The first part uses Wang Zhaojun's allusions, and the second part uses Zhao's stories. The name "horseshoe" was originally vulgar, but unexpectedly "turned decay into magic" through his clever thinking.
There is also a small building dedicated to prostitutes:
Blowing the cold of Yusheng, don't lean on the fence and pour out the east wind last night;
Worried about gold leakage, occasionally come to listen to the rain, rushing and deep.
On the surface, there is no embedded name, but if you look closely, it is "hidden in the dark." In the words of Li Jing of the Southern Tang Dynasty, Shanglian said, "The small building blows through the jade, and the chill is pressing." The second couplet uses the Tang poem "The small building listened to the wind and rain last night, and apricot flowers were sold in the depths of the Ming alley", all of which contained the word "the small building".
After entering his later years, Fang Dishan lived in Tianjin and made a living by selling calligraphy and painting. The money he signed was "generous". He has a quick mind and makes many couplets, and the inscribed couplets he makes are often handy and just right. So he became famous for more than ten years, and people are often proud of winning his couplets. He married Ma Wenji and Luo Yunling in September and published his masterpiece:
Yuma, juvenile court, bridled family, handed down from generation to generation;
Jingelo, Albizia Albizia wine, Huanghuamendi and Sanqiu all have exquisite affairs.
Yuqima, a kind of horse. White eyebrows, classic horse surname. Biography of the Three Kingdoms and Ma Liang: People, with long words, white eyes and outstanding talents, and five brothers, all named after the word "Chang". As the rural proverb goes, "Ma Wuchang has the best white eyebrows." Gingerol, the name of this glass. Ma Wenji, the son of Ma Qicheng, an ancient prose writer of Tongcheng School, is famous for his talent and intelligence. Luo Yunling is good at artistic chrysanthemum. They got married in September, so they called themselves "Huanghuamen" and "Sanqiu Incident". This kind of connection cuts people, things, time and scenery, and has infinite charm. The names of the newlyweds are unconsciously embedded in the narrative, and there is no axe mark. It is unprecedented for couplets to achieve this goal.
Fangdishan refused to pursue his career since his youth. He had no way to make a living, spent money when he had money, and had no money at home. Moreover, he is arrogant and bohemian, and the word "zi" is also unconventional, which leads to his inability to make a living when he is old and often worries about food and clothing. In his later years, he wrote a pair of Spring Festival couplets to commemorate his sadness:
There is no place to bury sorrow, looking up at the sky with tears, sighing that everything is like yesterday;
Paper-cut is a flower, mud is a fruit, and another year has passed in a hurry.
I have to sigh after reading it. But he has always been content with poverty and never changed his mind. He once had a self-proclaimed "Li Anyun:
Donate four officials, no land to scrape;
Rent three rooms and entertain yourself with your feet.
Another book is attached to the lintel:
Tell me what the snowstorm is in the corridor, and eat five ding without cooking five ding;
It is enough to have a woman with mellow wine, and the world is happy first and then worried.
His life ethics can be seen from this.
In his later years, Fangdishan was disheveled, and his hair and beard were always covered. However, when he asks for something, he is always treated coldly by some people. However, he never condescends to flatter the powerful and asks him to appreciate it. Once, a friend invited a party to eat seafood, and he was invited to attend. Half drunk, others have already prepared a pen and inkstone, and guests at the table have asked him to write couplets. A celebrity saw sudden jealousy and laughed at him for being degrading. He smiled, impromptu couplet wrote:
Know that Phoenix is not as good as me;
And eat clams. Don't ask for it. "
Everyone couldn't help laughing after seeing it, which made the man unable to step down.
1936 12 14, Fangdishan died in Tianjin. According to legend, he was dying, and the doctor came to see him and advised him to take medicine. He smiled at the doctor, and I recited a Tang poem to thank you, that is, I filled my fingers with my beard and shouted, "My thatched door has been closed-but now it is open for you." The doctor smiled: Mr. Wang is really a celebrity. He died the next day. Beiyang Pictorial Wan Yue:
Couplets are sacred, books have become homes and have a long-standing reputation, and ink has become a wall of harmony;
This disease is on the verge of extinction, and I still miss my country. When will the Central Plains be decided? I am afraid that I will become a poet.
Fang Dishan's life, whether laughing and cursing, pretending to be crazy or being frivolous and sloppy, is actually just a mirror image of his distorted life. At heart, he is an honest gentleman. This is just as he wrote in a sentence mentioned in a letter to his family: "Dream Jiangdu will lose something, and we will not be confused about major events over the years ..."
