The Book of Songs: Appreciation of Cricket's Original Text

cricket

Cricket is in the hall, very old. I am not happy today, but the sun and the moon will disappear. If you are not healthy, you will think of your home. There is no shortage of happiness, and a good reader is crooked.

Cricket died at the age of five. I'm not happy today. The sun and the moon have come. If you are not healthy, you will think outside of work. Happiness is not lacking, and good people wander.

Crickets are in the hall and the service car is resting. Today is not happy, the sun and the moon compete for glory. There is no great health. I'm worried about my job. There is no shortage of happiness, and good people are rewarded.

Crickets are chirping in the main room,

A year hurried to the end of the year.

A wise man knows how to restrain himself.

Crickets are chirping in the main room,

If I'm not happy now,

Time passed in the blink of an eye.

Have fun, don't overdo it,

Remember your position.

Eat, drink and be merry,

A year hurried to the end of the year.

If I'm not happy now,

Time passed in the blink of an eye.

Have fun, don't overdo it,

Remember the extra things.

Eat, drink and be merry,

Sages know how to be diligent.

Crickets are chirping in the main room,

At the end of the year, the service car is also resting.

If I'm not happy now,

Time passed in the blink of an eye.

Have fun, don't overdo it,

Remember the worries of the country.

Eat, drink and be merry,

Sages know temperance.

Life is short, and a hundred years is fleeting. "How lovely it is to be locked in a bright mirror in a high room, facing like a blue tile, like snow." The ruthlessness of time and the shortness of life have long been understood by poets and written off. How to live? In the eyes of the ancients, it seems that there are only two endings: pleasure and meritorious service. Either eat, drink, and be merry in time, or lead a drunken life, or make a name for yourself.

What we see here is another way of life: eating and drinking, abstinence; We should not only fully enjoy life, but also maintain a loyal spirit and sense of hardship. Choosing a middle road between famine and asceticism seems to be a living method in line with modern consciousness. The Japanese believe in hard work and hard enjoyment (in fact, hard work is more than enjoyment), and now we regard it as a living specimen. In fact, our own ancestors have already demonstrated such specimens, and there is no need to learn from the Japanese.

The "intermediate" living method, full of secular spirit and breath, is very realistic and attractive, which can probably be regarded as an ideal living method. We don't need to keep forging ahead, exploring and discovering like Faust, nor do we need to take risks and seek excitement. We are not required to push boulders up the mountain in vain like Sisyphus, nor are we required to go to monasteries for abstinence and penance like Christians, and not to eat fireworks.

However, it is even quite difficult to really implement the intermediate living method. Man is a weak animal that can't stand the temptation. After all, few people have self-control and rational spirit, but many people indulge themselves unconsciously or consciously. Most of us will not be inclined to asceticism and workaholism in practice, but to the person who indulges in debauchery, affairs and often forgets his roots.

Nietzsche once used Dionysian spirit and Apollo spirit to express the carnival and rationality of human beings. Perhaps it is God's intentional arrangement to put these two opposites into our bodies and let us make our own choices: either indulge ourselves or work hard. Only unusual people can combine the two well. The choice is the exam, and the answer sheet should be filled out by yourself.
