The ruins are covered with chrysanthemum, and the Pearl Tower of Cuixie is scorched everywhere.

Yuanmingyuan, a large imperial garden in China in the Qing Dynasty, is located at No.28, Tsinghua West Road, Haidian District, covering an area of more than 350 hectares, of which the water surface area is about 140 hectares. It is composed of Yuanmingyuan, Qichun Garden and Changchun Garden. Yuanmingyuan is the largest, so it is collectively called Yuanmingyuan (also known as Yuanming Three Gardens).
Yuanmingyuan not only brought together several famous scenic spots in the south of the Yangtze River, but also transplanted western garden buildings, which was a masterpiece of gardening art at that time. It is one of the treasures of human culture and the largest museum in the world at that time. In the last years of Kangxi and Yongzheng, the Yuanmingyuan began to be built.
In the second year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1724), the expansion project of Yuanmingyuan officially began. After Emperor Qianlong succeeded to the throne, he adjusted the garden landscape of Yuanmingyuan and increased the number of architectural groups. 1860, the British and French invaders set fire to Yuanmingyuan, and the Yuanmingyuan and its nearby Qingyi Garden, Jingming Garden, Jingyi Garden, Changchun Garden and Haidian Town were all burned down. In the 26th year of Guangxu (1900), Eight-Nation Alliance occupied Beijing, and all the buildings and ancient and famous trees in Yuanmingyuan were destroyed.
/kloc-more than 0/50 years ago, Hugo said sadly, "There is Notre Dame in Paris and Yuanmingyuan in the East. ... one day, two robbers broke into Yuanmingyuan, one robbed and the other set fire to it. ... stole all the wealth of Yuanmingyuan and shared it with each other. ... in the future historical trial, one robber is called France and the other is called Britain.
