Dushi Mansion is located in Dushi Village, Song Feng Township, Guangfeng County, Jiangxi Province. Built in the 13th year of Qing Qianlong, it was built by Wang Zhixian, a paper merchant at that time, so it is also called "Zhixian Building". According to experts in cultural relics and archaeology, Dushi Mansion is the largest ancient residence in Jiangxi Province.
According to Wang's genealogy, it was built in the early Yuan Dynasty, and the ancestor child began to live. During the reign of Jia in the Southern Song Dynasty, he moved from Taiyuan, Shanxi Province to Jiangshan Security in Zhejiang Province due to the war, and then moved to Dushi, Guangfeng.
Du Shi Mansion covers an area of 27,000 square meters with a building area of 6,780 square meters. It has a single-story brick-wood structure, and its halls, halls, rooms and corridors are patchwork. Apart from the hall and air duct, there are 65,438 rooms, 2 small wells, 4 bluestone railings and fish ponds, 36 large and small patios and 3 bluestone push-trough round doors.
These two fish ponds, especially the big fish pond, also played the role of fire prevention and extinguishing in the whole building.
It is said that the big house caught fire several times and people put it out with the water in the fish pond. In a large-scale training activity in the early days of liberation, there were five or six hundred soldiers living in the big house at that time, and the soldiers caught fire while doing exercises. Everyone only uses the water in this fish pond to put out the fire. It turns out that this kind of water was imported from Dushi Port and has existed for many years.
You can see a firewall from the left side of the fish pond. In fact, it is a bluestone round door, and the words "love my family" are engraved above the round door to express the owner's love for this house. There is a slit in the middle of the door frame. The door is push-pull and used to open and close the door. Even if there is a fire, close this round door tightly, and the fire will not spread to other places.
The whole big house is made of pure wood, carved with beams and painted with buildings, with exquisite craftsmanship. The beams, colonnade columns and bucket arches have been turned a thousand times without a nail. It's all tenon-mortise structure. Craftsmen carefully calculated and interspersed, people have to admire their superhuman wisdom. Visiting the big house, all kinds of pictures of birds, animals, flowers and trees, the scenes where people ate and lived at that time were all on the eaves, wooden columns and plaques, and the exquisite carving art was amazing.
There are a lotus pond, a full moon building, a chicken farm, a big vegetable garden on both sides of the big house, and a quadrangle-style big house military station covering an area of about 500 square meters.
"How deep is the yard?" The scale and luxury of a big house are unimaginable to the world. It is said that grandparents' old people will visit each room, and even if it rains, they will not get their shoes wet, because the rooms 108 in the big house are connected. At that time, the servant in charge of closing the door closed the door and went back to the room every day, and had to rub his shoulders and hands hard.
Museum of ancient buildings
There are 528 ancient buildings in Dushi Village, including more than 20 in Ming Dynasty and more than 50 in Qing Dynasty/KLOC-0, most of which were in the Republic of China.
These ancient buildings have a long history and a long time span, from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty to modern times, showing the development track of architecture in various dynasties after the Ming Dynasty in an all-round way. The horse-headed wall with all blue bricks and grey tiles is patchwork, with reasonable architectural layout and unique features. The small streets in the village are paved with bluestones or pebbles, so that people can avoid the pain of mud. From the village positioning, architectural layout, environmental characteristics to the connection and division of space, this paper uses a stream to make it alive, showing the philosophy of "harmony between man and nature" that conforms to nature, uses nature and does not contradict nature.
From Du Shigong Pavilion to the west, you can also see well-preserved Ming and Qing buildings, including Shangzhujiatang (built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty), Huatangmen (built in the 13th year of Qing Qianlong), ancient stage, Shen Shi Ancestral Hall, Tong Mansion, Du Shishi Arch Bridge, Xianbaigong Temple and so on.
Walking into Du Fu's poems, boarding Du Fu's ancient stone arch bridge, and seeing Du Fu's ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties, as well as the ancient culture that has settled down, we have to admire the great creation and heavy history of the Chinese nation.
