The number one wood carver in China and the king of Southeast Asian carvings, Huang Quanfu
Huang Quanfu, born in 1960, graduated from high school in 1978. In the same year, he studied under the Chinese arts and crafts master Lu Sili. In 1995, he was Approved as a senior technician by the Fujian Provincial Department of Labor; approved as an arts and crafts artist by the Quanzhou Municipal Personnel Bureau in 1998; awarded the provincial arts and crafts celebrity by Fujian Province Economic and Trade in 2002; awarded the title of folk artist by the Fujian Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles in the same year; awarded the senior craftsman by the Fujian Provincial Personnel Department in 2005 Artist.
Having been engaged in art for more than 30 years, he has studied carving techniques assiduously and engaged in on-site wood carving creation. In the practice of carving, we constantly sum up our experience, integrate the art of carving into the daily life of the public, and use the principle of physical induction to invent the "Kowloon Automatic Teapot" to provide people with artistic and cultural taste for their leisure life. This invention has obtained a national patent. . Since 2000, he has won the first prize in the Chinese Sculpture Art Live held by the China Arts and Crafts Society for two consecutive years; in 2002, he was specially invited to participate in the China (Dongyang) International Wood Sculpture Exhibition Competition. He was the only participant in the Chinese delegation. In front of masters of sculptures from all over the world, in just one week, a work with novel ideas and profound themes was ready - "Zheng Chenggong", which fascinated the artists present. In 2002, his work "Riding the Wind and Waves" won the Silver Award in the "Huayi Cup" hosted by the China Arts and Crafts Society; in the same year, his work "Black Hole" won the Gold Award at the First Folk Art Expo of Fujian Province. In 2005, his wood carving works "Laozi" and "Going to the Meeting Alone" - Guan Gong was invited to win the Folk Craft Legacy Award at the "12th Global Chinese Culture and Art Legacy Award" held in Taiwan.
