Yu Shinan's Ancient Cicada Poems

I can do this problem! Yu Shinan's ancient cicada poems;

Cicada droops like a tassel on a hat, its tentacles suck the clear dew, and its voice spreads from the branches of the straight Shulang tree.

Cicada is far away from cicada because cicada is on a tall tree, not relying on autumn wind.

Translation:

Scenes of cicadas drinking dew from a height. Its sound comes from scattered tung trees,

As far as human ears, without the help of autumn wind.

Precautions:

Rui: Hanging tentacles. Alas, the drooping part of the hat band tied under the chin by the ancients. Cicada's head has prominent tentacles, which look like drooping tassels, so it is called "drooping".

Drinking clear dew: the ancients thought cicadas were noble and drank dew high.

Flowing sound: the sound that spreads, also refers to the sound that comes out. Here, cicadas have been singing.

Sparse paulownia: a luxuriant phoenix tree. Sparse, help.

Gao: it means to live in a high place, which means pun.

Jiè: Shit.

Autumn wind: alluding to the power of the emperor.

Creative background:

Yu Shinan's character is relatively quiet and has always been detached. He didn't show his talent in the Sui Dynasty. After entering the Tang Dynasty, he was not involved in the power struggle between Wu Zetian and Tang Zhongzong because of his personality and life principles. Finally, in the period of Emperor Taizong, he was gradually reused and promoted by his own abilities and talents, and became one of the important aides of Emperor Taizong.

Appreciate:

This poem is ingenious in conception, and expresses its ambition through cicada, which not only praises cicada's high sentiment and charm, but also conceals its luxurious identity and places praise on noble quality. The style of the whole poem is Tsinghua, with concentrated pen and ink and distinct views.
