Li Guang's record is inferior to that of Wei Qing and Huo Qubing. Why do future generations miss Li Guang more than admire Huo Wei in their poems?

Reading the poems of the Tang Dynasty, you will find that there are basically only two images of Li Guang in the poet's works.

The first one is praise: "The forest is dark, the wind blows, the general tried archery at night, and the next morning, he found his white arrow deeply stuck in the hard rock"-praise the courage of the general Li; "Only make the Dragon City fly, but don't teach Humadu to team the mountain"-praise General Li for guarding the border and making great contributions; "However, when it comes to the hardships of the desert war, today we named Li, a great general who lived a long time ago"-praising General Li for cherishing his soldiers.

Another emotion is sympathy: "Whenever I am angry with Hu Bing, I often feel ashamed of Han. I don't know that Bai Shou wasn't blocked in the Seventy Wars "(Chen Ziang)-Speaking of General Li's Bai Shou, he was not blocked, pitiful; "There is no reward for hard work, and loyalty is valuable. Who is poor, Bai Shou has no three sides "(Li Bai)-General Li has not been sealed, and he still died at the border, poor; "General Wei Qing's victory is just an accident, and Li Guang has no strange name" (Wang Wei)-General Li's life is really bad.

All sympathy, basically around the "Li Guang difficult to seal" this matter. The so-called "difficult to seal" means that General Li Guang has never been sealed in his life. Li Guang is very talented, but he is not appreciated. This contrast can easily make frustrated people form a strong * * * sound.

All frustrated people in the world have a situation of their own: I have great skills and talents, but unfortunately I have not been made good use of them. The world failed me! So, they look for people who are similar to the tragedy everywhere, borrow other people's glasses and pour a wall in their own hearts. Qu Yuan is one of them, but King Chu Huai, the king of Qu Yuan, is really a bad king, so it is really difficult to take advantage of the situation. Among the historical figures in the Han Dynasty, the Tang people found two, one was Jia Yi, a scholar, and the other was Li Guang, a military commander. They lived under the rule of a wise monarch, but they were not taken seriously. Poets in the Tang Dynasty expressed their feelings just right.

The greatest tragedy of Li Guang's life is nothing more than struggling all his life. If he fails, he will gain fame, and he can't be sealed. As for his refusal to be a marquis, if we analyze it carefully, there is nothing wrong. Li Guang fought against the Huns all his life. Strictly speaking, he has never won a battle. This is related to his fighting style and his indifferent Geng Jie character.

Wei Qing and Huo Qubing were anathema to the poets in Tang Dynasty, mainly because they were both relatives of the country, and they seized power by taking advantage of the situation. Wei Qing forced Li Guang to death, and Huo Qubing shot Li Guang's son Li Gan. This accusation is actually unreasonable.

It's really his fault that Huo Qubing shot Li Gan and ignored human life. Li Gan has its own problems. He complained that Wei Qing was responsible for his father's death, and treated Wei Qing lightly for many times. This kind of thing is hard to tolerate in ancient officialdom. Wei Qing is basically not responsible for this matter General Wei enjoys a high reputation in history for his gentle personality and generosity. As a matter of fact, it is unfair for poets in the Tang Dynasty to elevate Li Guang and belittle Wei Qing.

Poets in the Tang Dynasty sympathized with Li Guang, just licking the wounds demoted by wise rulers and lamenting their own misfortunes, hoping to attract the attention of the king and give him an official position to protect his wife. As for the real reason why they often run into a wall in real life, I'm afraid they don't want to face it themselves.
